Notwithstanding how good the sea was art, other parts of my borough remain subject to a risk of surface water flooding, as occurred in 2013 and 2014 when homes across the borough were flooded, including 1000 homes on the island alone, so it is a serious problem for an island that remains fault and what could be done to reassure residents, so a grateful to Cabinet Office ministers and the Secretary for Defra who agreed to an investigation by the Government's chief scientist to make recommendations locally.

But what I'd reassure him is that to to date we have not been able to identify any patients in any part of the country that has come to harm as a result of what happened. It's a shame that the synthetic layout in the Labour Party was apparent when they were talking for a public inquiry into deaths in mid Staffordshire or the worst IT White elephant disaster, £12 billion in 2013.

In the lead-up to the 2017 NBA trade deadline, 13 potential free agents changed teams, including some big-money impact players like Serge Ibaka and Nerlens Noel. Compared to the rest of this summer's class, though, those names may be no better than backup plans for teams hoping to snag a big fish out of an unusually deep pond. Sure, LeBron James is off the market, but seemingly every other superstar will be up for an eye-popping payday. The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers have four such studs between themfive, if you consider J.J. Redick anywhere near as key to L.A.'s fortunes as Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are. The New Orleans Pelicans will be pining to keep one of their own around to help Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins . The Boston Celtics should have plenty of cash to splash at whoever wants a change of scenery. Keep in mind, this is all with a historically weak 2013 draft class hitting restricted free agency.

The electric city car has a claimed range of 100 miles and is powered by an 81bhp electric motor - Seat has not confirmed it will make production The electric Seat e-Mii city car has been revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Described as a concept, it shares its underpinnings with the Volkswagen e-Up , launched in 2013, and gets an 81bhp electric motor. It has an estimated 100 miles of range on a full charge – but expect closer to 75 in the real world, as with the VW . Seat says the car will have a top speed of 80mph, 155lb ft of torque and will reach 62mph from a standstill in 11.3sec which is more than a second quicker than the e-Up. It takes nine hours to give the e-Mii a full charge through a household plug, but a public fast charger takes 30 minutes for an 80% charge. The manufacturer hasnt confirmed it will make production, but it has previously stated it will have an electric car in its lineup before 2019 .

Andrew Williams Since 2013, the Moto G in its various guises has been an easy phone to recommend to anyone who wants a decent phone for about £200. Last year, though, a "Plus" version of the Moto G4 emerged. You had a budget version and a slightly-less-budget phone to choose from. The Moto G5 Plus makes that decision all the more difficult, with greater differences between it and the normal Moto G5. The good news is, you still get your money's worth with the Moto G5 Plus. Let’s start with the design. The Lenovo Moto G5 Plus takes a few cues from budget rivals like the Huawei Ascend G8 in its use of metal. From 2013 to 2016 Motorola avoided overt flashiness in its Moto G designs, using mostly plastic shells. The Moto G5 Plus has a plate of aluminium on its back, which ostensibly injects an extra shot of high-end-like flavour. Read 14 remaining paragraphs | Comments

"Children themselves, girls in particular, are telling us that they feel they need improved, age-appropriate mandatory sex and relationships education to help them navigate these difficult issues," she said. Sexual health charities and education groups have been calling for education about the online sexual landscape for years. In 2013, a report commissioned by the Office of the Children's Commissioner warned that urgent action was needed to bring sex education into the 21st century. "Just a few clicks away on any mobile phone, on any tablet for example, children can find really graphic depictions of extreme and violent sexual acts," deputy children's commissioner Sue Berelowitz told the BBC at the time. Last year, five select committees wrote to Education Secretary Justine Greening to demand updated legislation. But despite mounting support among MPs "attempts to change the law through private members' bills in the Commons have so far been frustrated", says The Independent .

Northern Sinai has for years been the epicenter of an insurgency by Islamic militants, and the area's few Christians have slowly been trickling out. But departures surged after suspected militants again gunned down a Christian man in front of his family two days after Fawzy's uncle and cousin were killed, stoking panic among Christians. No militant group claimed has responsibility for the attacks. But the IS affiliate, which is based in northern Sinai, released a video vowing to step up attacks against Christians, who it describes as infidels empowering the West against Muslims. Coptic Christians, who make up about 10% of Egypt's population, have always been a favorite target of Islamic extremists. But attacks on churches have increased since the 2013 military overthrow of an Islamist president. Christians overwhelmingly supported the army chief-turned-president, el-Sissi, who led the ouster, and extremists have used their support as a pretext to increase attacks against them.

The ongoing violence in South Sudan has at many times dominated international headlines since the conflict there erupted in late 2013. Diplomats, politicians and activist have all worked to change the course of violence in the young country but the situation has only gotten worse. Some college students here in the Washington, DC area say changing matters in South Sudan is possible - but policy makers should pursue a different approach. Sandra Tombe describes herself as an ambitious and hard-working South Sudanese American. She's 25 years old and is earning a doctoral degree at George Mason University in conflict resolution which she hopes to use to help people in her native country. Although hopeful, Tombe says she is not naïve, and is aware that achieving long-term change in South Sudan could take some time. “That’s the thing; I think we sometimes think of change as something that is radical, something that transforms society in a way that is unimaginable," said Tombe.

I've written about DeGrowth for many years, including Degrowth, Anti-Consumerism and Peak Consumption (May 9, 2013), Degrowth Solutions: Half-Farmer, Half-X (July 19, 2014) and And the Next Big Thing Is ... Degrowth? (April 7, 2014) These are the basic concepts of Degrowth: 1. Consumerism is psychological/ spiritual junk food (French: malbouffe ) that actively reduces well-being ( bien-etre ) rather than increases it. 2. Better rather than more: well-being is increased by everything that cannot be commoditized by a market economy or financialized by a cartel-state financial machine friendship, family, community, self-cultivation. The goal of economic and social growth should be better, not more. On a national scale, the cancerous-growth measured by gross domestic product (GDP) should be replaced with gross domestic happiness/ gross national happiness (GNH) .
