We saw that during the campaign and we are seeing that now that he is the president of the United States. He doesn't like it when people say there were fewer people present for his inauguration than they were for those of President Obama in 2009 and 2013, at any suggestion that there were more people in Washington, DC today than they were yesterday really doesn't go down well at all, Gavin.

It rose one place in 2016, then fell back to 61 in the 2017 rating, where it is below Kosovo, Albania, Rwanda, Serbia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Croatia, and Russia. In Europe only Malta and Bosnia are further behind. The Economic Freedom of the World found that Greece was number 36 in the world in 1980. It was down to 48 in 2000. It was a poor 82 in 2010. Alas, it has kept on falling, to 84 in 2013 and 86 a year later, the last year for which figures are available. Greece comes in at 92 on business regulations, 129 on overall regulation, 142 on size of government, and 143 on labor market regulations. In fact, Nikos Filippidis of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently wrote that economic sentiment and consumer confidence have dropped "to the lowest level recorded since September 2013." Greece needs to free its people to be entrepreneurial.

Trump also brought up both episodes in a speech to the CIA earlier Saturday. Spicer blamedfloor coverings” used to protect the grass for highlighting areas that were empty, and blamed heightened security for limiting the amount of people on the Mall. “Inaccurate numbers involving crowd size were also tweeted,” Spicer said. “No one had numbers. … By the way this applies to any attempts to try to count the number of protesters today in the same fashion.” Spicer went on to say that “this was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period. Both in person and around the globe.” He did not provide any evidence to back up that claim. In fact, available data and photographs indicate the crowd was smaller than at past inaugurations. Metro ridership as of 11 a.m., for example, was higher at inauguration ceremonies in 2005, 2009 and 2013 — and at Saturday’s Women’s March — than for Trump’s inauguration. Spicer left the lectern without taking any questions.

Now, while you'd think the recent failures of both 2013's Riddick sequel and 2015's The Last Witch Hunter -- star vehicles built entirely on the ineffable appeal of Mr. Diesel -- would have divested the money people of that notion, here we are with the belated xXx: The Return of Xander Cage , arriving about twelve years past its sell-by date. Directed by D.J. Caruso (of The Salton Sea and Disturbia ) and released by new studio Paramount, xXx 3 isn't so much a fully-formed film as it is an $85 million celluloid monument to Vin Diesel's image of himself. We begin the story this time around with Diesel's retired superspy believed ead, and living off the grid in Central America while doing the Robin Hood thing for poor people (and by "doing the Robin Hood thing" I mean giving them access free cable, because screw those corporate cable company CEOs, or something).

In 2013, there were around 1 million people. Rough estimates before the march today were around 200,000. The organisers are saying that it could be more than attended the inauguration yesterday, which would send a strong message to President Trump.

This is a rallying cry that women, people of color, queer people, and their allies are all one big movement, says Jill Soloway of the Women's Marches that are set for Washington D.C, Park City and all over the country today after Friday's Inauguration of Donald Trump. The enemy is now clear and the enemy is now named, the Transparent creator and multiple Emmy winner added. What's going on? In the build-up to it Donald Trump's inauguration the BBC broadcast a number of reports about the 45th President of the United States. Monday's panorama, for example, asked whether he was the Kremlin's candidate for the job? The reporter has a habit of testy on air encounters as demonstrated in this programme and in a clip from a 2013 interview with Donald Trump.

The global terror environment is very different even from 2013,'' Johnson told reporters. “We have to be concerned about individual acts of violent extremism.'' Johnson later promised an enormous security presence, despite the absence of any specific credible threats against the inauguration. With that in mind, security officials took extra steps both to deter would-be terrorists and to stifle them if they tried to attack. Security officials set up a more fortified system of barriers than those that had been constructed for previous inaugurations, buttressing the area around the Capitol with miles of Jersey barriers, dumpsters and construction equipment. That was meant to prevent the kind of attack that Germany and France witnessed last year, when men killed nearly 100 people by driving trucks through crowds of pedestrians. That was on top of the standard precautions set up for the inauguration's secure perimeter on Friday, requiring pedestrians to submit to bag checks, metal detectors and prohibitions on items such as drones, selfie sticks and large bags.

They want to dominate their neighborhood and keep Europe in their influence sphere, and they're doing a good job. DeMint also said Trump is right to put China on notice as Beijing continues to build on disputed territories in the South China Sea. I don't think it's a bad thing that he's stirring the pot a little bit with China to let them know that they cannot count on the status quo of a passive U.S., DeMint said. Obviously, he has to bring that down into some clear policies, but China respects strength. DeMint, who has led Heritage since 2013 after serving two terms in the Senate, spoke to the Free Beacon two days before Trump's inauguration just blocks away from the U.S. Capitol, outlining the think tank's defense priorities for the new administration. He referenced at length Heritage's Index of U.
