Jerry Seinfeld, Louis CK, and Dave Chappelle have nothing to worry about from Michael Keaton . The star of The Founder stopped The Tonight Show on Tuesday and recounted his very abbreviated career as a stand-up comedian. Turns out that before Keaton made a name for himself as Batman or Beetlejuice or earned his Oscar nomination for his work in Birdman , he was hustling as a stand-up comedian in Pittsburgh. Host Jimmy Fallon is well-acquainted with what it takes to make it in stand-up and the two stars swapped war stories of playing in clubs with no microphones and bars where no one expected a comedy act. Keaton struggled to find his bit, and decided that he might be the wacky guy who used props in his routines. Only Steve Martin was great with props, noted Keaton, but this didnt stop him from trying it out with a rubber chicken. It was humiliating, said Keaton. Luckily his fall back career of acting worked out pretty well for him. Watch above.

“He will scare the bejesus out of some fifth-level auditor who is going to say ‘Goodness gracious, maybe I ought to look at whoever he is attacking at the moment,’” said retired Adm. Dave Oliver, who was a top acquisition official in the Defense Department in the 1990s. “Am I going to believe the Lockheed Martin comptroller who is telling me this is OK, or am I going to believe the president? “Whether the president has any legal standing of any kind in this doesnt matter. That’s what the bully pulpit is all about,” he said. “He is going to be heard and he is going to have an impact.”

Chase Headley and San Diego Padres newcomers wore the skimpy, shiny orange shorts and tight, white tops of Hooters servers for a September 2008 flight from Denver to Washington. Times have changed. There is certain conduct that we have to be conscious of, union general counsel Dave Prouty said. The important thing for us was to recognize there was a policy but to preserve the players' rights to challenge the level of discipline and the imposition of discipline, he said. Not all outfits are banned superheroes such as Batman and Spider-Man are OK. Other past costumes that would be allowed include San Francisco ace Madison Bumgarner as a giant ketchup bottle, Miami slugger Giancarlo Stanton on the U.S. Olympic men's water polo team and Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig as Gumby. The issue of locker room bullying erupted a few years ago when an NFL investigation found Richie Incognito and two other Miami Dolphins engaged in persistent harassment toward teammate Jonathan Martin.

Sharon Jones of Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings performs during the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn. Dave Martin/AP Soul singer Sharon Jones, lead singer of the group The Dap-Kings, has died, her publicist announced late Friday. She was 60. Music Interviews No Music, No Headphones': Sharon Jones On Getting Through Cancer She'd been fighting pancreatic cancer since 2013, when she took a break from touring to undergo extensive surgery and chemotherapy, Fresh Air wrote earlier this year . The cancer went into remission, but returned this year. She told Terry Gross about the difficulty of her treatment: "I couldn't sing. I couldn't get air because, people didn't realize, I was cut across the diaphragm, all the way up from right under the center under my breasts, all the way down to the top of my navel, almost." Even after she returned to the stage, she told Terry, she didn't feel like the band's dynamic performances were the same.

Mac Slavo | SHTF Plan There are a number of excellent pieces circulating that hypothesize on what will happen before, during, and after the election. Mike Adams of Natural News and Dave Hodges of The Common Sense Show have both dug deeply, examining the overall situation with outstanding insights as to the possibilities. Mike’s piece listed the scenarios that can happen regarding either outcome, and government actions that can be triggered by the result. Dave’s videos and telephone conversations expose the fact that the government is indeed preparing to have plans ready and in place with drills and exercises that can turn into an actual operation immediately. Last Week Tonight focused on an unusual topic for Sundays show: Lice on rats on a horse corpse on fire, 2016 a.k.a. this years U.S. presidential election . John Oliver noted that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are among the most disliked presidential candidates in history. This has lead some voters to consider voting for a third-party candidate, specifically according to Oliver, Either Kevin Klines character in Dave or the ghost of Martin Luther King Jr., assuming he only said the three quotes that white people like. Since fictional characters and ghosts arent eligible for the presidency , the two main third-party nominees are Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson (who looks 80% sure he is running for president) and Green Party nominee Jill Stein (The candidate who looks most like she believes that carob is just as good as chocolate.

We worked with Ben Hillier as a producer on the last few records and it was time for us to change that up. James came in fresh, he had no real agenda. He's not just a great producer, he's a great musician. So he was able to guide us. Martin had written some great songs and demoed them and I had too, so he was able to take those songs and take them to another level." Sounds good to us. 2. The new album isnt finished yet So says keyboardist Andy Fletcher. "At the moment we haven't finished the album, we're still working on it, but it's sounding very exciting. We're very proud of it and we think it's going to be as good as, or a lot better than, the last album – which we try to do all the time." Dave Gahan explained how serendipitous the process was: “There was one point during the recording when James Ford, the producer, discovered that there was a pedal steel guitar of Martin's in the studio and I think he taught himself to play it within a day.
