(ATHENS, Greece) A letter bomb exploded inside the car of former Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos in central Athens on Thursday, wounding him and two Bank of Greece employees, officials said. All three were described as being conscious and hospitalized in stable condition. I unequivocally condemn the attack against Lucas Papademos, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras tweeted from his official account. I wish a speedy recovery to him and the people who accompanied him. Police were on alert to determine whether any other parcel bombs might have been sent out, and were checking postal and courier services. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but Greek politicians have been targeted in the past by militant far-left and anarchist groups. Papademos, 69, who served as prime minister for six months in 2011-2012 and is also a former deputy governor of the European Central Bank, had been inside his car when the device detonated.

President Donald Trump met with European leaders and attended his first NATO summit in Brussels on Thursday, and boy did he have a great time. While there, Trump shoved Montenegro's Prime Minister Dusko Markovic so that he could get a better spot for a photo opportunity, and he also scolded a bunch of US allies . It was a great time for all the best time and we have the pictures to prove that Trump enjoyed it very much and there were no awkward moments whatsoever. DHS has held several briefings in recent weeks with U.S. lawmakers, EU officials and industry groups on the possible ban, which would prohibit laptops, tablets and other larger electronics from riding in the cabins of planes flying toward the United States. It imposed similar restrictions earlier this year on U.S.-bound flights from 10 Middle Eastern airports, amid fears that terrorist groups are becoming more skilled in hiding bombs inside electronic devices that screening technology can't currently detect. If a decision comes in the next day or so, it's sure to roil relations with European counterparts, many of whom are already miffed at what they say has been a unilateral approach by DHSespecially since, as one European diplomat said, DHS said they would wait some time to be complete about the safety risk during technical meetings this week.

That 10-year-old agenda also included lowering the interest rate on student loans and allowing the government to negotiate drug prices under Medicare. Pelosi endorsed a $15 minimum wage in 2015, aligning with Bernie Sanders on an issue that became a foundation of the Vermont independent senator's unsuccessful bid for last year's Democratic presidential nomination. The broad Democratic support for Thursday's minimum wage hike illustrates the extent of Sanders' influence on the agenda of the party whose leadership he has joined -- without formally becoming a Democrat. The minimum wage hike also has drawn early fire from conservatives who want to use Sanders' rising influence as a weapon against a Democratic party moving to the left as it pushes back hard against Trump. This is a significant moment since it confirms that the Democrat Party is now in the hands of extreme liberals that have more in common with European Socialism than the free enterprise principles that have guided America for generations, Jeremy Adler, spokesman for the conservative group America Rising, said in a statement.
