Orlando Bloom had to introduce his son Flynn to Will Turner one day! Sitting down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on Wednesday to promote Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales , the actor explained how he finally let his and ex Miranda Kerr 's six-year-old watch him in the franchise... Only he didn't think it might traumatize him! Related: Orlando Apologizes To Fired Waitress After One-Night Stand Orly spilled: "I was very reluctant, because obviously you want to keep that normalcy and that dynamic, and I didn't want him to know what dad did for a while. But then he started school and I was like, 'Well, older brothers and sisters...' The movie was coming out and they'll talk about it, and I wanted to have that moment of showing him me in Pirates of the Caribbean . So, last summer I was in France. It was on a little TV; it wasn't a big grand screen or anything at all.

A few weeks ago, President Donald Trump seemed to have triggered a teensy constitutional crisis when he fired FBI Director James Comey . Among the shifting kaleidoscope of reasons for Comey’s termination was his investigation into Russia’s role in Trump’s election victory. The problem for Trump—which could rise to actual obstruction of justice charges—is that he fired Comey after inviting him to the White House, clearing the room of witnesses, and then allegedly telling him , “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.” In case that message didnt get through, he also allegedly added, “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.” (The case for obstruction has since been bolstered by reports of other witnesses and similar incidents .)

I think his national security team is really first-rate.” Also praiseworthy in Rumsfeld’s estimation was Trump’s willingness to remove former national security adviser Michael Flynn, whose misrepresentations to Vice President Mike Pence and others about his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. were reported by The Washington Post. Flynn has since found himself at the center of multiple investigations into his ties to the Russian government and its campaign to interfere with last year’s presidential election. “The other thing a chief executive has to do is when you make a mistake on personnel, fix it. They don't get better with time. And he did. The national security adviser was changed,” Rumsfeld said. Asked about Trump’s alleged willingness to share presumably sensitive national security information, as he reportedly did last month during a phone call with the president of the Philippines, Rumsfeld said that such a move is at times a legitimate strategy to put U.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.) during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Thursday called on former National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn to help the Senate Intelligence Committee "prove [his] innocence." Manchin pressed Flynn to "come and work with us" to clear up the allegations that the former NSA had inappropriate and possibly illegal ties to Russia and Turkey. MSNBC political analyst Nicole Wallace brought up Sen. Marco Rubio's (R., Fla.) comments saying that the intelligence committee needed to "get to the bottom" of the investigation into ties between Flynn and foreign countries. "I agree 1,000 percent, we need to get to the bottom," Manchin said. Manchin then said he couldn't understand why some of the accused were resisting his and his colleagues' investigations. "You know what I can't understand, Nicole, is that we have people that if they're being accused—and these are horrible accusations," said Manchin.

There’s no evidence that Trump’s team considered an investigation into Ukrainian meddling, or acted on Manafort’s recommendations, though Trump did blast the dossier as “ fake newsgathered by “a group of opponents that got together — sick people — and they put that crap together.” A Manafort spokesman declined to comment for this story. But Manafort, a 68-year-old veteran of five U.S. presidential elections and many overseas campaigns , has emerged as a focal point in the escalating investigations. His representatives say he is cooperating with investigators. This month, he voluntarily provided documents to the Senate intelligence committee, while also offering to be interviewed by the House and Senate intelligence committees. Meanwhile, a federal grand jury empaneled as part of the FBI’s investigation reportedly has issued a subpoena for records related to Manafort, as well as Trump’s former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn.

And when asked about the latest drip-drip in the headlines — including multiple reports that Trump has tried to bury the FBI’s Russia investigation — the two leaders often duck and change the subject even as rank-and-file members blast the chaos emanating from the White House. “I dont know the veracity of these things. That’s why we have an investigation,” Ryan said at an Axios event Wednesday when asked about Trump reportedly urging ex-FBI Director James Comey to drop the investigation of his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn. “What I’m not going to do is make comments on things that are under ongoing review.” Ryan’s remarks followed a Tuesday McConnell press conference in which he declined to endorse Trump’s budget and dodged a question about whether he was concerned about reports indicating the president had tried to squash a federal probe into Trump associates.
