Brendan Rodgers has had a great season I'm not sure yet people perhaps you'd be comparing him to the great shark steam giving foot he did in his career but there's lots of lovely pictures of some of the Lisbon Lions 50 years on and those who survive and 50 years to the day since they're not sent Stade de Luanda the British team won the first European cup and a lovely picture of the surviving members of the Lisbon lions have a Civic reception yesterday the other big story in the papers this morning is Sam Sunderland freshly relegated from the premiership being heavily linked with the Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes heavily linked I should see through and through the betting companies and the odds that they're giving on that moved it.

STOCKHOLM: Paul Pogba dedicated Manchester United's Europa League title triumph on Wednesday to the 22 people killed in Monday's terror attack in Manchester, saying: "We played for the people who died." An emotional evening in Stockholm began with a moment of silence and applause, in memory of those killed at a concert at Manchester Arena, before goals from Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan clinched a 2-0 victory over Ajax. "These things are terrible all over the world, in London and in Paris," said Pogba, who was also playing at the Stade de France on the night of the November 2015 Paris terror attacks. "We went out focused to win and we won for Manchester and the country," he told BT Sport. "We played for England, we played for Manchester and we played for the people who died." United's players wore black armbands, while chants of "Manchester" rang out from their fans as reminders of the attack were everywhere at the Friends Arena in Sweden.

Northampton 21-15 ConnachtJim Mallinder’s men will play Stade Français for final Champions Cup spot The back door to the Champions Cup remains open for Northampton who squeezed past Connacht thanks to 16 points from the impressive Harry Mallinder but, as has been the story of their season so far, Saints do not like to do things the easy way. A try with barely a minute on the clock from Mallinder ought to have settled any Northampton nerves but instead a depleted Connacht side, with greater composure with ball in hand, ensured a nervous finish for Jim Mallinder’s men. They are getting increasingly used to those at Franklin’s Gardens and they may have another when Stade Français arrive on Friday to determine who takes the final Champions Cup spot. Disappointment earlier for The Blues. They will not play in the top tire of Europe next year because after a good start they were 14-3 up but lost. I thought they stood a good chance in the Stade Francais. Won.
