So the question becomes at some point if there is nothing to further investigate what are you asking people to investigate? That follows on from comments earlier in the day from the president, slightly off-camera comments, he was asked as a group of media were leaving a room where he had held a meeting if he supported the idea of a special prosecutor looking into the links between his campaign and Russia, unsurprisingly he said he did not and then he added, that he had had no contact with Russia in the last ten years.

Unsurprisingly, the new 3310 is also slightly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. Weighing just 79.6g, it’s almost half as heavy as the 133g original. In size terms it’s roughly the same, although by being just that little bit slimmer than 2000’s model, it works out to be a little smaller in the hand overall, measuring just 51 x 12.8 x 115.6mm (WDH) to the original’s 44W x 22D x 113mm. One key design feature that’s been removed from this year’s Nokia 3310 revival is, quite possibly, the one thing everyone remembers the 3310 so well for – removable faceplates. Yes, that’s right, no more heading down to the weekend market to pick up a glossy The Simpsons or Spongebob Squarepants mobile case from a dodgy wheeler-dealer. This year’s 3310 only comes in a glossywarm red” and “yellow, or the matte-finisheddark blue” and “greycolours more reminiscent of the original.

Moto's budget line just got an upgrade to the G5 generation. Unsurprisingly, Moto revealed the Moto G5 Plus, a slightly bigger version to the Moto G5 . And just as you might expect, it has some familiar, but nevertheless worthwhile advantages over the smaller option. In this case, this phone's screen size, battery capacity, camera specs and chipset are a bump above the G5. For $229, getting a phone with near-stock Android Nougat with Google Assistant is a fantastic deal. Moto has arguably the best reputation in the low to midrange smartphone category and we look to the G5 Plus to be no exception. Design As the leaks teased at, Moto's latest lineup of budget smartphones have ditched the divisive, rubberized back for a more professional look. While many of the same design characteristics remain in tow here, like the metallic-trimmed earpiece, smooth plastic frame and micro USB port, it's all put together more cleanly than ever.

Alaska is known to run a very good airline and it shows, as the airline placed in the top 4 in more than half our criteriaairfare, on-time arrivals, lost baggage, involuntary bumps, customer satisfaction and its frequent flyer program. The only real knock against Alaska is the size of its route network, but that problem will be partially alleviated as Alaska's merger with Virgin America — which also ranked well in our survey based on airfare, cabin comfort, lost baggage and involuntary bumps — is implemented over the next few years. If Alaska can retain its high quality and incorporate Virgin America's strengths while expanding, it's going to be a fierce competitor. On the other end of our rankings, many folks don't like Spirit , and it appears they have good reason to feel that way. The low-cost carrier finished dead last in four different criteria — on-time arrivals, customer satisfaction, cabin comfort and its frequent flyer program — and second to last in another (unsurprisingly, its baggage and change fees).

And there could be letters even about child protection. So unsurprisingly there have been a lot of calls from senior MPs that the Health Secretary, Gerald Hunt, has a lot of questions to answer. Essentially, this involves GPs sending information to hospitals and this is sent by a private company and it is alleged that this private company, instead of delivering them, stored them in a warehouse between the years of 2011 and 2016.

Unsurprisingly he authored a “new” book: Never Again? The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism (2003). Let’s hope the current director of the ADL, Jonathan Greenblatt, stands firm this time and does not backtrack in his condemnation of Bannon. But much more is at stake than the question of Steve Bannon’s anti-Semitism. His legitimation of a white nationalism that hates Jews but admires Israel has forced a reckoning with the single-minded meaning of the new anti-Semitism as criticism of Israel. It is time to dismantle this exclusive definition and undo the damage it has done to “the defined.” Even now, the right is pushing back on criticism of Bannon by tarring as anti-Semitic progressive leaders and movements so essential to the current struggle against Trump. We cannot allow the charge of anti-Semitism to muzzle critics of Israel, nor blind allegiance to Israel to excuse bigotry.

Weve just witnessed the release of whats claimed to be the highest capacity PCIe NVMe SSD ever seen, and according to the maker, its the most efficient solid-state drive across all models. NGD Systems has revealed its Catalina SSD which uses 3D TLC NAND flash in a card (PCIe) format, with a potential capacity of up to 24TB. The drive is shipping immediately, although no pricing was mentioned. Obviously enough, its not going to be cheap. This SSD is, unsurprisingly, targeted at heavyweight data centre usage, but as ever its representative of what we can expect in terms of the average PC further down the line. Nader Salessi, founder and CEO of NGD Systems (formerly NxGn Data), commented: We are setting a new metric for energy and storage density to meet a key concern within data centre and cold storage applications alike.

A central part of Amazons internet connected smart speaker, the Amazon Echo , is that its constantly listening for you to say the magic words to wake it from its slumber. Not unsurprisingly this has generated some privacy concerns, with users worried that the data collected by the speaker could prove to be a treasure trove for hackers, or law enforcement officers. Now the latter case is being tested to its limits, and Amazon is fighting pretty hard to protect its Amazon Echo data. A hard fight Back in November 2015, Victor Collins was found dead in the hot tub of his friend, James Andrew Bates, as reported by the BBC . The evening of Collins death, the two were allegedly using an Echo to stream music, which has lead detectives to believe that Amazon may hold data which could help them solve the case. In a motion filed by Amazons lawyers, the company said, Given the important First Amendment and privacy implications at stake, the warrant should be quashed unless the Court finds that the State has met its heightened burden for compelled production of such materials.

It’s partly due to its disappointly low rev limit, which at 6,500rpm is no higher than most modern, bland turbocharged engines. It does, however, react like a naturally aspirated engine; the throttle response is notably sharp and it does enjoy living close to its conservatively set red line. We're not entirely convinced – as some have claimed – that the 1.5 is the sweeter of the two engines. You do spend more time exploiting it at full throttle, but in reality the 2-litre behaves in such a similar manner, is perfectly pleasant and offers better more usable performance. The RF’s rear buttresses are made from plastic, while the main section of roof is made from aluminum with just the small front segment made from steel. But, unsurprisingly the more complicated roof is heavier than the roadster’s blissfully simple manual cloth top. Being heavier it’s no surprise the RF is marginally slower than the soft top.

3-inches to 13.9-inches without drastically increasing the size of the frame. In fact, this laptop features some of the thinnest bezels we've ever seen on a Lenovo device, save for an unsurprisingly fat bottom lip. This is thanks to Lenovo slimming down the bezels along the top and sides while moving the webcam to the sizable chin beneath the screen. It effectively apes Dells InfinityEdge screen; the only discernible difference being that Lenovo has smartly placed the webcam in the center of the screen rather than off to the left. Aside from simply being a physically bigger screen, this is the first Yoga laptop to feature a 4K display. Its a flat screen real estate upgrade thats roomier for multiple open windows. Its also just big enough for watching movies with a friend, and the down-firing JBL speakers offer some surprisingly nuanced sound so long as youre not muffling the audio with your lap.

Now we face the prospect of a $1 trillion infrastructure package from President Trump that will almost certainly ignore critical needs like coastal resiliency, grid modernization and expansion of high-speed broadband Internet. This package is likely to target NEPA and allow polluters to damage the environment and endanger peoples health with impunity. We cannot let that happen. Before NEPA, the government could allow a private waste disposal company to open a landfill in your neighborhood without telling you, or build a highway through your backyard without considering alternative routes. Unsurprisingly, the majority of unsafe and unhealthy projects including toxic waste dumps and dams that submerged whole towns under hundreds of feet of water were sited in poor and minority urban neighborhoods and rural communities that lacked the political connections and financial resources to fight back.

T-Mobile , Verizon , AT&T , and Sprint , the four major carriers in the United States, all offer unlimited data plan options as of last week, allowing customers to forget about traditional data caps. With so many options now available for unlimited data, we thought we'd do an in-depth video comparing the plans offered by the four companies to figure out the best value based on price and coverage. Subscribe to the MacRumors YouTube channel for more videos Unsurprisingly, Sprint offers the lowest prices, but many people choose not to use Sprint because its LTE coverage is poorer than other carriers. Eliminating Sprint, T-Mobile offers the next best deal, while Verizon comes in third, and AT&T comes in at a distant fourth. For a single individual, Sprint charges 50 for new customers (for a limited time -- it goes up to 60 next year). T-Mobile charges 70, Verizon charges 80, and AT&T charges 100, making it the most expensive unlimited plan of the four carriers for an individual user.

iPhone owners in the United States spent an average of 40 on premium apps and in-app purchases on each of their devices in 2016, according to new data shared by analytics company Sensor Tower. That's up from an average of 35 in 2015. Unsurprisingly, most iPhone users are spending their money on games. 80 percent of U.S. App Store revenue in 2016 was generated by games, and on average, iPhone users spent 27 on game-related content. Spending on apps in the entertainment category - such as Netflix and Hulu - was at 2.30 on average, compared to 1.00 in 2015, perhaps due to Netflix starting to offer in-app subscription options at the end of 2015. According to Sensor Tower, Netflix contributed over 58 million in gross revenue to the entertainment category in 2016, up from 7.9 million in 2015. Average spending on music also rose slightly in 2016, from 3.

Unsurprisingly, it didnt come close to hitting 60 frames per second (fps) at Ultra settings during the GTA V benchmark, instead clocking in at 26 fps. That said, running The Divisions benchmark did return an impressive 60 fps at the highest settings. Even beyond gaming performance, theres no denying the Inspiron 15 7000 is an all out workhorse. At no point during testing did we feel as if we were pushing the Kaby Lake Core i5 processor to its limits. This was regardless of how many tabs we opened in Chrome, while jumping back and forth between Steam and checking email. The laptops fans do a decent job at cooling the machine, which at no point during our testing got excessively hot. We felt comfortable with it sitting on our lap, or resting our hands on the keyboard after long gaming sessions when it was hottest.

Unsurprisingly, Garrioch reports that the New York Rangers are among the Shattenkirk suitors. The Blueshirts traded first-round picks in the past for the likes of Martin St. Louis and Keith Yandle, and they would have to do so again to acquire Shattenkirk. The team needs some juice from its defense from someone not named Ryan McDonagh, but taking on Shattenkirk would be a major risk. Here are Rangers with expiring contracts in the next few years: New York has roughly $2 million in cap space, meaning it would have to trade a roster player to take Shattenkirk in addition to trading a first-round pick and a high-quality prospect like Pavel Buchnevich. The Rangers are in the East's second tier behind Pittsburgh and Washington, and potentially renting Shattenkirk may not be worth mortgaging the future if it means a second-round playoff exit. Given what Shattenkirk is reportedly asking for in the future combined with his expiring contract, St.

In the acting categories, Emma Stone ( La La Land ), Casey Affleck ( Manchester by the Sea ), Viola Davis ( Fences ) and Mahershala Ali ( Moonlight ) all have the edge on their respective categories. La La Land also looks strong in the directing and music categoriesbut nothing is on lock, of course, and a surprise or two would jazz up (or jazz down, if it involves La La Land losing) the whole affair. Is there anything different about this years ceremony? After two years with zero non-white acting nominees (and a very long history with disproportionately few), this years nominations are much more inclusive : seven of the 20 nominees are people of color. But change, unsurprisingly, is slow, and were still without any female directing nominees, and limited to no representation when it comes to Asian Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, LGBT and gender-nonconforming people and people with disabilities.

You can't leave it five or seven years and suddenly have these increases because unsurprisingly, that's an enormous shock to smaller businesses... And the wider economy? As Andrew says all money in this country is generated from business and commerce and this is going to really create a problem. I suggested to the Chancellor in the same meeting than present this as what it really is, which is about another £1 billion collected for the economy, and let's face it, we're still grappling with the deficit, we need to do those things, but be straightforward and say yes, we need to raise the money.

Unsurprisingly the dashboard was basic and quite utilitarian – not unsurprising for the Russian manufacturer which prides itself as making vehicles that can drive on tundra and in inhospitable terrain in that country. Expensive For Local Market Tavan Khodro, the local representative, more famous for importing a limited run of Opel models in recent years signed the deal with the Russians months back and will be the official importer. Financial Tribune contacted the firm to ask about the prices of the vehicles, a representative in their Esfahan office said the Patriot will be priced anywhere near 1.1 billion rials ($28,900), while the pickups are estimated to cost around 800-900 million each ($20,000 $23,000). That sales price may fall in the coming months as the company is looking to produce the vehicles in Iran, according to the company representative who did not want to be identified by name.
