We will check everything one more time, the functional readiness of the stadium." SOT, Vitali Mutko, Deputy Prime Minister for sports, tourism and youth policy (Russian): "The name of the stadium is determined for the World Cup, it is called the St. Petersburg Arena. The stadium will be commissioned under this name and will be called so everywhere during the event. Then if Zenit [football club] takes it in property, in rent or in the office, then they will have two choices: either to come up with a new name or sell the stadium name, as it is becoming usual to do so in the world. There is already a buyer, one company is ready to do it." In regards to the product-supply production, we could help. We have engineers who are ready to come." SOT, Eliseo Bertolasi, Higher Geopolitical Research and Related Sciences Institute analyst (Russian): "We should not lose optimism because we know that it is not a very fast and easy [process]. However, I believe that if we continue working on it step by step, then everything is ahead of us. It takes time. If we do not lose optimism or hope that everything will be all right, then everything will be all right." It is very important for us to mark this day that marks the end of an era. There is only one mechanic from this regiment, who is still with us, Andre Peyronie, who is now very old, and we wish him a long life." SOT, Francois Anier, President of the Normandie-Niemen Memorial in France (French): "This is a sad day for us, because today, there aren't any survivors left. There is only one mechanic left, who is 95 years old, who is, fortunately, not doing too bad. But, today, it is very sad." UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura announced on Wednesday that he was not expecting 'an immediate breakthrough' at Intra-Syrian peace talks, which are due to restart in Geneva on Thursday. Speaking at a press conference at the Palais des Nations, Staffan de Mistura noted that he was expecting the beginning of "a series of rounds, that should enable to go much more in depth in the substantive issues that are required for a political solution in Syria." At the same time the UN mediator stressed that he would be refusing any preconditions, voiced by the participating sides at the new round of negotiations. He declined to elaborate on the format of the forth round of Geneva talks, saying just that he would start with bilateral meetings on Thursday. The notorious gate, which is adorned with the description "Arbeit macht frei" (work sets you free), was returned to the Dachau concentration camp memorial on Wednesday, after being discovered in Norway. The gate disappeared from the memorial in 2014. It was eventually found on 28 November, hidden beneath a tarpaulin in a parking lot in Tre Arna, north of the city of Bergen, Norway. SOT, Karl Freller, Director of the Bavarian Memorials Foundation (German): "Today 22 February 2017 the gate is back where it was originally. We are all very happy that it is back here. It is a symbolic piece of memory with the inscription "Arbeit macht frei" (work sets you free) and it is a proof of the cynicism of the Nazis. Truth was the opposite: because of the work, many died here. It will remain a symbol of that cynicism as long as it stays there". The shelling started without any notice, any warning. Two shells hit, we started to calm down our child, saying that they are just firecrackers and that she should not be afraid." SOT, Irina Sadykova, resident of Makiivka (Russian): “My husband covered us both with his own body. We all fell to the ground. Thanks to my husband, the child survived. Only because of him. The child has already undergone two surgeries. She has three broken bones in her face. She needs two more operations. Tell me, who will take responsibility for this?” Video ID: 20170222 050 Video on Demand: http://www.ruptly.tv Contact: cd@ruptly.tv Twitter: http://twitter.com/Ruptly Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Ruptly
