An SNP who've failed in government in all policy areas, as they systematically forget the day job, and obsess about the constitution? A springtime fall of snow greeted Mr Corbyn earlier today, when both he and Nicola Sturgeon came to the Scottish trade union.

The country is suffering from high youth unemployment and a flagging economy, as well as dealing with questions over national identity and immigration. It has also been in a state of emergency since the 2015 terror attacks that killed 130 people in Paris, and suffered numerous incidents of terrorism since then. Here are some of the reasons why this French election is so uniquely important. Frances political landscape fractures Only a few months ago, the outcome of Frances election was viewed as relatively certain. Abysmally unpopular President Francois Hollande declared in December that he would not seek a second term, and it was widely expected that the winner of the conservative Republican partys primary would have a clear path to the presidency. Francois Fillon won the leadership race, but his campaign became quickly mired in scandal after allegations surfaced earlier this year that he paid his family members hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars for jobs they never worked.

A professor at a major university who saw it emailed me: Oh my God. Talk about the demeanor of a mind-controlled zombie….. Instead of sayinghappy Easter” and talking about Jesus, and maybe throwing in some eggs and rabbits as a sop to Christian-pagan syncretism, Trump begins by rambling on and on about how wonderful Jews are. He couldnt make it any clearer that his main holiday message is “Happy Passover!” When he finally gets around to mentioning Easter, it’s almost an afterthought. The video has abysmally poor production values, considering that it’s coming from the White House. It’s too dark. And Trump looks extremely low-energy –like a kidnapping victim in a hostage video with someone offscreen pointing a gun at his head or a knife at his foreskin. Trump’s “Passover videoreminds me of the nationally televised speech by George W. Bush in early December, 2001.

In the spirit of spring reawakening, I asked the wonderful Rachel Winard of natural-beauty line Soapwalla (or is it a cult? I'd join) for some easy at-home facial-treatment ideas. -Edith Hi everyone! I don't know if winter felt abysmally long to you as well; now that lengthening days and subtly warmer temps are here, I'm itching to start new projects. One of my favorite things to do: create at-home spa treatments using food items hanging around in my kitchen. I particularly love it when I can use bruised or overripe produce that would otherwise be tossed. Below is an arsenal of recipes to treat yourself from head to toe. If you, like me, have incredibly sensitive skin, I include notes on how to create a happy experience for your skin. Enjoy, and let us know what you think! READ MORE »

Bushs administration to secure such an authorization failed abysmally, collapsing in a welter of half-truths and outright falsehoods. What much of the international community found unacceptable, more so even than Saddams obstreperousness, was Bushs insistence that he was going to have his war regardless of what others might think. As for celebrating the defeat of the Taliban and of Saddam, thats the equivalent of declaring game over when the whistle sounds ending the first quarter of a football game. Setbacks, disappointments, miscalculations, humiliations: you wont hear about them from CENTCOM. More to the point, to claim that, in the years since, CENTCOM has continued to provide security to the new freely-elected governments of Afghanistan and Iraq whitewashes history in ways that would cause the most shameless purveyor of alt-facts on Fox News to blush.

By Amit Kapoor Finance Minister Arun Jaitley put the spotlight on the issue of tax evasion in his February 1 budget speech with some eye-opening statistics. Out of an employed population of approximately 300 million, merely 37 million filed their income tax returns in 2015-16. Even if exempted sectors like agriculture are accounted for, this proportion is abysmally low. The most damning evidence of evasion was the fact that out of 7.6 million individuals who declare incomes above Rs 5 lakh, 5.6 million are in the salaried class, for whom the taxes are deducted at source. Clearly, it cannot be the case that India has only two million businessmen and self-employed people who earn incomes above Rs 5 lakh. Tax evasion is rampant in the country and is especially high among the non-salaried class. The facts in the Budget underline the unjust nature of the imposition of income tax in the country.

And nations around the world may be alarmed that the United States will no longer spend truckloads of money attempting to solve their problems--but usually abysmally failing--by using counterproductive military intervention or feckless foreign aid. Trump's inaugural address demonstrated that shaking things up was not just campaign rhetoric. Doing so in America's failed security policy is long overdue. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms. GDP growth has sat however at under 3 percent per year, an anemic level not seen since Herbert Hoover's presidency. The real unemployment rate including part time workers and those marginally attached to the work force is 9.5% according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a figure that omits those who have given up searching for work and college graduates severely underemployed. Besides jobs increases, Obama's major economic accomplishments are conservative - keeping inflation in check and cutting the federal deficit by two-thirds while expanding exports. Obama's labor policy promoted small improvements for workers that wouldn't offend his Wall Street backers too much. Obama pushed unsuccessfully for a raise in the abysmally low $7.25 per hour minimum wage and promoted laws mandating better safety conditions and wages for private companies working for the government and to expand overtime pay (which was blocked by a federal judge in Texas).

S. Constitution has been based not on principle, but on partisan election outcomes. Over 700 aborted attempts over the last 200 years to undermine our federal system have failed abysmally once the disastrous consequences have been fully explained and appreciated. Perhaps the most notorious myth is that the Founding Fathers envisioned electors as independent representatives free to cast their votes in any way they wish. Nothing could be further from the truth. As Madison explained to the Virginia ratifying convention, the president was to be chosen by "the people at large", and later explained to the First Congress that the president was to be appointed "by the suffrages of three million people". As Lucius Wilmerding's massive study of the Electoral College noted in 1958 , "it is the fashion nowadays (to assert that electors were to make the election according to their own will).

Indeed, that he's decided there'll be no more pussy-footing and to go for broke indicates he will be sticking around. He is fortunate that his two predecessors failed so abysmally that the club, the brand, the multi-national business or whatever you want to call it, cannot risk a third sacking in four years since Fergie retired. That would cause a sell-off on Wall Street so if it comes to a choice between him and the players, it is the players who will go. He is trying to provoke the current squad to get more out of them and those that don't raise their game will be sold off. He now knows that four summer recruits was nowhere near enough to boost the quality and prefers to work with a small number so he must remove the chaff. While he does this, there are bound to be problems and below-par performances, and he's probably already set his sights lower than the title this season.

"It has been my desire for many years to be involved in a great project in Mumbai, and it is my honour to bring the Trump lifestyles to the citizens of this truly global metropolis with the launch of Trump Tower Mumbai. We are thrilled to be working with the Lodha Group, a truly fantastic team of professionals," Trump, chairman and president of The Trump Organization had said on August 12, 2014. That time the now-president-elect had told PTI that the realty prices in Mumbai are abysmally low yet he was very bullish on the country and was keen to pump in more money into the luxury residential and hospitality spaces. "The Mumbai luxury realty market is the cheapest in the world". For ages Mumbai has been the hottest reality market in the country as well as one the costliest across the world. "I will invest a substantial amount in the Trump Tower Mumbai, in my individual capacity," Trump had told PTI without quantifying the amount to be invested.
