BAGAN DATUK: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today urged people not to worry about information leakages from any party as only the Home Ministry has the right to release personal data. Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, noted that private vendors for the ministry's system were not privy to any information on individual data because they had been synchronised. "The right of giving the data is with the agency, in this case the Registration Department. So don't worry about information leakages because they are only vendors who don't have the right to give the data. "Only the Home Ministry has the right to give it," he told reporters after meeting the Bagan Datuk Indian community at Dewan India Sanmarka here yesterday. Ahmad Zahid was asked on a report by a local newspaper that said that the Home Ministry would review the security access of vendors and contractors in sensitive areas.

On the morning of his presidential inauguration , the man who campaigned with a consistent and often controversial stream of tweets fired off what could be his last as a civilian. It all begins today! I will see you at 11:00 A.M. for the swearing-in. THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES THE WORK BEGINS! Donald Trump tweeted early Friday morning. The incoming president has already surrendered his Android smartphonefrom which he often tweetedand replaced it with a secure, encrypted device, the New York Times reported , citing sources close to the transition. It's not clear what that will mean for his future tweeting habits. But those around Trump, including incoming White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, have suggested his tweets will continue to be a way he communicates with the American people. Starting Friday, Trump will also gain access to the @POTUS twitter account used by President Barack Obama during his tenure.

China Southern flies nonstop from Guangzhou (CAN) to JFK, LAX and SFO, and China Eastern flies from Shanghai (PVG) nonstop to JFK, LAX, ORD and SFO. Flexible date searches show entire months bookable with Flying Blue or Delta miles on many of these routes. My choice would be business class on the China Southern A380 from LAX, where every seat has aisle access. Miles required from the US to China (one-way): Delta SkyMiles80,000 business, first not bookable (earn with the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express and other co-branded cards) Flying Blue100,000 business, first not bookable (earn with Chase Sapphire Preferred and other UR cards) Other Considerations Book Lufthansa first class with United miles when you are within 14 days of departure. Typically, if your origin or destination is not the US, you'll find much better premium cabin availability.

At the function, 2,000 students from around Bagan Datuk received PTPTN's corporate social responsibility contribution in the form of Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional (SSPN-i) deposits and SSPN-i Plus deposits with a total value of RM200,000. Commenting further, Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk, said since the formation of the PTPTN in 1997, access to higher education among the people in the country had risen. On the average, he said, 200,000 students each year had the opportunity to study at the public or private Institutions of Higher learning and as at Dec 31 last year, a total of 2.6 million loan applications had been approved involving a total amount of RM48.5 billion. "This is a huge amount, no country in the world is as committed as Malaysia in giving out educational loans to students," he said. He called on the borrowers to repay the study loans upon completion of their studies so that the facility could be enjoyed by more students.

When Dwight Eisenhower was elected president in 1952, outgoing president Harry Truman informed him of an important secret: Days before the election the United States had tested the world’s first hydrogen bomb in the Pacific. The nation now possessed a weapon roughly a hundred times as powerful as any before—and almost nobody else knew. Eight years later, when Eisenhower handed the keys to John F. Kennedy, his administration passed along its own secret: America had a covert plan underway to invade Cuba. Kennedy let the Bay of Pigs mission proceed, and the result was a fiasco that would take the world to the brink of nuclear war. The president of the United States has more access to official secrets than any other human being in the country—and the potential to know more about the world than anyone else on the planet. And on January 20, the person being handed access to all of those secrets will be Donald J.

The four-star Hotel Rigopiano was almost completely covered by the deluge late on Wednesday night in the remote, mountainous region of the Apennines. Rescuers had to use skis to reach the scene and gaining access since has proved extremely difficult for rescuers. That's the news, we're back tonight at seven and at lunchtime tomorrow. Now the weather: This afternoon will be sunny and dry for Wales and much of England.

Instead, consider loading up a Kindle, as an ebook reader’s month-long battery life will give you a HitchhikersGuide-worth of help without much recharging. Prep it with maps (the options arent great, but there are some that could be useful ), as well as first aid, survival and other guide books – plus whatever you’d like to read when you’re bored without access to Netflix. Alternatively, download ebooks or apps to your smartphone, and consider storing an offline version of Google Maps for your local area, to help you find the best escape routes or in case you get lost.

And when you initially connect, your status gets displayed in a separate window which stays on top of all the others (fortunately you can make this disappear). You do get some handy settings, including the LeakBlocker (blocks all internet traffic if the VPN connection drops) and Access Control lists (define which sites you can visit, and which you can't, when the VPN is active). In our testing*, Anonymizer's performance was difficult to assess. As mentioned, there are only two locations, but we couldn't use our regular tests, as for some reason the Speedtest.net site wouldn't deliver usable results when connected. Turning to other sites suggested we were getting download rates from 12Mbps to 28Mbps, depending on the location and time, but we have less confidence in those figures than usual. Be sure to run your own in-depth speed tests if you trial the service yourself.

As the internet's all about sharing you can also easily spread the stories you read to Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and more from the Feedly app. PayPal prides itself on being an easy, secure way to send and receive money and that's never been more true than in its app. The Android app has been overhauled to make it as fast and intuitive to use as possible. The main page puts icons for sending and receiving money front and centre and to do so you just tap on one and select one of your contacts, or enter their email or phone number. From there it's just a few more taps to have it sent or requested. There are other tools if you need them, including the ability to change your account details, change your currency and even pay for things in store using the app and they're all easy to navigate as well. It's all wrapped up in an incredibly stylish interface and secured with a password or fingerprint, so if someone gets access to your phone they don't automatically get access to your PayPal account.

Snapchat is now accessing its users offline purchase data to improve the targeting of its ads, despite its CEO having previously deemed this kind of advertising creepy. Following in the footsteps of tech and social media giants such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google, Snap Inc has partnered with a third party offline data provider called Oracle Data Cloud according to the Wall Street Journal . Did you know you can play drums without drums? All you need is a VR headset and an app called Paradiddle (drummers will know), currently in development by musician Emre Tanirgan. To show off his creation, Tanirgan recored himself playing alongside the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" in virtual reality, and even though he's technically just waving his hands in the air, it sounds pretty awesome. SEE ALSO: Hidden history of virtual reality According to UploadVR , Tanirgan started developing Paradiddle as he simply didn't have space for his drum set. "I was no longer going to have easy access to a drum set to practice, so I figured I could try and make my own set in VR," he said. Read more...
