Half Table is one of those super practical designs that you didn't really know you needed. Designed by Cho Hyung Suk for MUNITO , the side table is simple and compact, perfect for bumping up next to a chair or sofa. Besides using it as an end table, it can easily be moved front and center for easier access to your drink or remote when you're lounging and watching TV. Available in Dark Gray or Light Gray , the Half Table is made using only coated metal that was bent into two sections that fit together to become a stable form.

One of our main goals is to support an informed community on Facebook. This includes helping people have conversations about the news and giving people more ways to see a more complete picture of a story or topic. Today, we’re beginning to test Related Articles that might appear before you read an article shared in News Feed. These additional articles, which appear for topics many people are talking about on Facebook, will appear in a unit below the link. That should provide people easier access to additional perspectives and information, including articles by third-party fact-checkers. The Related Articles test is "one of many tests" that Facebook is working on to improve the service's reputation with rampant fake news sharing, an issue that has been on the rise since before the U.S. presidential election last year. When Facebook launched the educational tool for spotting false news, Google also debuted a "Fact Check" label in search results for all countries.

Google's self-driving car company Waymo just opened up a pilot program in Phoenix, Arizona, letting people get free rides in its driverless minivans. The program, Waymo said in a blog post Tuesday, is open to "hundreds of people with diverse backgrounds and transportation needs." And those folks won't just get one or two rides. The program will give them access to Waymo's fleet of cars every day, at any time, as long as they keep their destinations in the Phoenix area. SEE ALSO: Google's driverless cars will now have to prove themselves as a real business More precisely, Waymo is looking for people in parts of the Phoenix metropolitan area, which includes Chandler, Tempe, Mesa and Gilbert. Only folks that are 18 years or older may apply, and only one per household. But once you're accepted, all eligible members of your family can take the rides. Check out the project's FAQ here for all the details. Read more... More about Google , Self Driving Cars , Waymo , Tech , and Transportation

In turn, those faux accounts gave Uber confidential location information about the eight nearest Lyft drivers. Not only did this program provide secret information about Lyft, its largest rival, but it also allowed Uber to target its own drivers who also drive for Lyft. Uber could then present them with enticing offers to make sure that they would stay loyal to Uber. The "spyware," according to the lawsuit , which reportedly ran from 2014 to 2016, "enabled Defendants to remotely and surreptitiously access, monitor, intercept, and/or transmit personal information as well as electronic communications and whereabouts.

The Capitol Hill Standing Committee of Correspondents has voted to table Breitbart’s credential process and declined to extend the organization's temporary credentials to cover Congress, which expire at the end of May. The committee, which only permits media access to the U.S. Capitol to outlets it considers legitimate news organizations, not political advocacy or other groups, expressed frustration over Breitbart’s inconsistent answers to questions about their masthead and office space, among other problems. Breitbart CEO Larry Solov, in correspondence with the committee since their last meeting , asserted that Republican megadonor Rebekah Mercer had no editorial input, that a managing editor who also had a role in an advocacy group was no longer on the masthead, and that the site was having trouble finding office space in part because of security issues.

Students who scored 182 were able to label all the eight notes in C major, students who got 150 were able to label one note. While most students could point to one or two structural differences between two mother-and-child portraits, they usually struggled to explain the technical approach and meaning in an artist's self-portrait. "The average student does not know a lot of the content that was asked of them on this assessment," said Carr. "It was a difficult assessment, a challenging assessment." On the bright side, the achievement gap has narrowed between white and Hispanic students from a difference of 32 to 23 points in an average score in music and from 26 to 19 points in arts since the previous test. Girls continued to outperform boys. The black-white achievement gap, however, remained unchanged. While white students scored an average of 158, black students got 129 on the music test and the margin of difference was similar on the arts portion of the exam158 for white students and 128 for black students, "Every student should have access to arts education to develop the creativity and problem-solving skills that lead to higher success both in and out of school," said Ayanna Hudson, director of arts education at the National Endowment for the Arts.
