Actor-humanitarian Sir Roger Moore died Tuesday at the ripe-old age of 89. On television he was Simon Templar in The Saint , but he was best known for playing British Secret Service Agent 007 in seven James Bond films, from 1973 to 1985. And while I perfectly understand fan attachment to the original 007, Sean Connery, Moore was the Bond I grew up with. I saw The Man with the Golden Gun , Moonraker , The Spy Who Loved Me , and For Your Eyes Only on television, and Octopussy and A View to a Kill in the theater. My friend's dad derisively called him "babyface" and said his acting was too corny. A former colleague said Moore was not a great actor and a terrible on-screen kisser. Sure, he wasn't as dark as, say, Timothy Dalton. He didn't seem to get too cut or too bruised like Daniel Craig. Especially in later years, you could tell he wasn't doing a lot of his own stunts.

An Indian film that addresses social themes and stars actor Aamir Kahn has captivated audiences in China. The film is thriving, despite the fact that India was the only major country to boycott Beijing’s Belt and Road Forum earlier this month. But the irony and sharp contrast of those two developments was largely lost on the millions of Chinese viewers who have helped keep the Hindi language film land in the top slot, despite the fact that it has subtitles and no voice-over dubbing. Analysts, film critics, and social media pundits are still debating what drove hordes of Chinese viewers to this movie, which is not your standard Bollywood mix of songs, dance and bloodletting violence. Breaking new ground According to industry sources, this is the first time a movie that was not made in Chinese or English has emerged as the top seller in the world's second-largest movie market.

BRAD Pitt told Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan that he doesn't have the moves to star in Bollywood films as he promoted his new movie War Machine in Mumbai on Wednesday. "I wouldn't make it Bollywood because I can't dance or sing," said the American actor during an event with Khan in front of journalists in India's financial capital. Bollywood Hindi language movies are renowned for elaborate dance sequences and high-energy songs and Khan responded by telling Pitt he could easily learn. "We can make anyone dance. I just spread my arms and do nothing, that's a step," joked the actor known as "King Khan". Pitt, who recently split from Angelina Jolie, arrived in Mumbai from Japan early on Wednesday for the latest stop on a promotional tour for Netflix movie War Machine. The satirical war film, in which Pitt plays a hubristic United States general, releases on the popular streaming site on Friday.

"Damn, I've been out f*cked." As the first guest on Gordon Ramsey 's new show, The F-Word, Kevin Spacey spoke about the upcoming performance of his one-man play, Clarence Darrow, while snacking on some tasty fish. However, the interview quickly turned into a swearing contest as Spacey seemed determined to out-swear Ramsey, which is practically impossible as the chef's brand is mostly just cooking and swearing at people. Against all odds, Spacey came out victorious as Ramsey admitted that the actor's "fucks" are said with charm. The full interview airs during The F-Word premiere Tuesday, May 31st on Fox. Read more...
