The version on the right, however, doesnt have the same level of contrast, making the focal point harder to navigate. DO: Align everything. Design alignment refers to how you place similar elements in proximity to one another. Poor element alignment makes for a poorly-designed infographic and can be distracting to the viewer. Alignment is a part of placing every single graphic, text, header, and element on your infographic. When you’re in the design process, have a mental checklist: Are all of my headers aligned in the same vertical axis (left, right, center)? Is there the same amount of space between my headers and body text elements? Is there the same amount of space between my sections? Do my lines end and begin in the same proximity to the elements they’re placed next to? Here is an example of how elements should be lined up for consistency and elegance: Make sure to place the same types of elements -- body text, headers, graphics, etc.

Thus, acknowledging and purging this old energy is absolutely necessary as we set sail for the next chapter of the human experience. Further, Neptune will continue to help us find the natural path of inspiration, and if we are to make the most of the energies at this time, our best response is to honour our own cosmic story. The road for us is to always found through the heart — through passion, expression, and self-responsibility — but the path to the heart passes through the shadow. At this time it is vital we are compassionate and forgiving to ourselves, as we consciously continue to explore our darkness, acknowledge and heal our pain, and expand our light. New Moon Message: The Ending is the Beginning We have reached a new chapter in our evolutionary journey, and this one pertains specifically to the awakening of our heart-center and an accelerated growth towards self-actualisation.

The Snowden revelations, while dramatic, have done little to amp up public concern about personal surveillance. After all, thanks to technology, electronic spying is cheap — so cheap the government can’t afford not to do it. But what is the cost to society and to freedom? In this WhoWhatWhy Podcast, Jennifer Granick, the Director of Civil Liberties at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society, talks to Jeff Schechtman about the technology that tracks and stores emails and follows personal movement, about the amassing and mining of metadata, and how all this information is used and misused by the government. She reveals government efforts to get social-media passwords and phone PINs from foreigners entering the country, and explains the underlying reason that the US government spies on foreigners: they are spying on us. Granick reminds us that surveillance is not just something that happens to other people, and that antiquated 20th-Century laws and post-9/11 oversight are no match for the high-tech wizardry of modern-day surveillance in the wrong hands.

And the balance between self interest and empowerment on the one hand with unity and connection on the other hand becomes really important to heal and work out effectively. Keep in mind that Venus Retrograde is not usually a good time to make absolute relationship decisions like getting married or engaged or breaking up. Let those ideas simmer until Venus goes back direct again in April. Then decisions or important events can be experienced. So this week may have importance for relationships, of course romantic but yet any kind of relationship. There is the eclipse on Sunday. There is Mars conjunct Uranus in Aries opposite relationship oriented Jupiter in Libra. And at the end of the week Venus goes retrograde . Keep your center as well as you can and stay grounded. Despite attacks by Russian-backed militants, the OSCE was able to carry out an inspection of the Donetsk water filter station with another drone. The plant was reported to have been shelled with 82-millimeter mortars, with at least four impact craters spotted, and a chloride storage warehouse was damaged. The surrounding area near the station may have been mined, a mission report of Feb. 25 reads. Also on Feb. 25, OSCE SMM observers were allegedly attacked again, according to Ukraine’s military press center. The mission’s inspectors were stopped by Russian-backed fighters near the village of Katerynivka in Luhansk Oblast. The attackers opened fire with firearms and set off two grenades near OSCE vehicles. “These cases of armed provocations committed by the illegal groups are deliberate actions aimed at further escalating the conflict, ignoring the cease-fire regime, and deliberate non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements,” Ukraine’s military said in a statement released on Feb.

And close to half a million Indians, who mostly went to the U.S. legally as students or tourists or on work visas, have stayed on after their visas expired, the Pew Research Center estimates. Reports of rising American hostility toward immigrants have stunned many Indians, said Alyssa Ayres, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, who visited Hyderabad recently. “I had a guy on a plane sitting next to me, who turned to me and said, ‘Is it true, what they say about America under Trump?'” she said. “There is a kind of confusion: What is happening to the United States? People can’t believe what they’re reading.” Ill treatment of Indian immigrants has, in the past, caused serious damage to bilateral relationships. In 2009 and 2010, reports of racially motivated crimes against Indian students in Australia set off demonstrations outside the Australian Embassy in New Delhi, where Australia’s prime minister was burned in effigy.

"This is a war inside Islam, a war for the heart of Islam—which version will be preeminent." The United States needs to help western-oriented Muslim states, like Jordan and Egypt, to help defeat the radical jihadists, Gorka says. Gorka, 46, grew up in England and was part of an intelligence unit of the British Army Reserve. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Corvinus University in Budapest. He spent four years as a member of the faculty at the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany. At the White House, Gorka is working to establish new strategies and policies he hopes will shift the focus to both military and intelligence to the counter-ideological realm. One of the first steps said to be under consideration is declaring the Muslim Brotherhood, a key element of the global jihadist movement, to be a terrorist organization.

"I will go all the way to the Supreme Court if need be," said Ram, who is leading the protest. The company said the site originally planned for the effluents was the nearby Rann of Kutch salt marshes but since they are a Ramsar Site for migratory birds the natural depression of Gorrano was selected instead. The company is providing alternative pasture for villagers living near the Gorrano reservoir, and building new homes, schools and healthcare facilities for two villages being relocated to make way for the mine and power plant, said Mohsin Babbar, the company's media manager. "This will be a benchmark project - and will set the standard for others," said Shaikh, referring to the new homes, a planned 70 bed hospital and a training center for the local people. "Of course if they (villagers) are not happy, this project will not work," he added.

(OLATHE, Kan.) One of three men shot at a bar in suburban Kansas City spoke at a weekend vigil, saying I wish it was a dream. The Kansas City Star reported Alok Madasani, 32, told a crowd of hundreds at the Ball Conference Center in Olathe, Kansas, on Sunday that what happened that night was a senseless crime and that took away my best friend. Madasani's friend and co-worker, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, 32, was killed in Wednesday night's shooting at Austins Bar and Grill in Olathe. Another patron, Ian Grillot, 24, also was wounded in the shooting. The main reason why I am here is that's what my best friend, Srinivas, would have done, Madasani said. He would have been here for me. Madasani and Kuchibhotla both worked for GPS device-maker Garmin. At the vigil, Madasani recalled how Kuchibhotla never complained about picking him up and driving him to work over a six-month period.

Early in the show, politics took center stage as Kimmel launched his monologue. The country is divided right now, the late-night talk-show host said during his opening remarks on ABC's telecast. The comedian went on to say that he was asked to say something to unite us. I can't do that, there's only one 'Braveheart' in this room, and he's not going to unite us either, Kimmel joked, as the camera turned to Mel Gibson. I'm not the man to unite this country, Kimmel said, adding there were millions and millions of people watching the award show at the moment. He urged everyone watching to have a positive considerate conversation not as liberals or conservatives but as Americans – if we all did that it would make America great again. It starts with us. Looking down to the front row, Kimmel also pointed out the highly overrated Meryl Streep — a dig at Trump who tweeted insults about the actress following a Golden Globes speech where she highlighted the importance of journalism in a divisive political age.

“In general,” said one senior administration official, “there is a lot of insecurity.” While other parts of the White House appear to be stabilizing, the press shop is often a center of frustration about how things are going — and not just from Spicer, who fumes to aides about stories he doesnt like. For Trump, a cable TV addict who has long obsessively tracked news coverage about himself, the ongoing turmoil in the White House communications wing threatens to derail the media narrative that will help to define the opening days of his presidency. His decision to hold a free-flowing news conference last week, two senior officials said, stemmed from a recognition that he was no longer breaking through in a news cycle that had turned against him. “He reached a breaking point where he wanted to do it himself,” said one senior White House aide. It has not been lost on senior White House officials that Spicer is overseeing an overwhelmed press office, where work often begins just after 6 a.
