“The little V-twin pulls harder than it has any right to,” says Matt. “It’s a fiend for high revs and handles better than many bikes with twice the specification.” The rev-happy pistons willingly spin upwards of 12,000rpm, with the soundtrack and poke to match. The Ducati-esque trellis frame is another of the Honda VTR250's selling points, but it makes customizing a chore. A simple tank swap is out of the questionespecially since a chunky air box takes up most of the space under the existing tank. So Deus kicked off the build on good old paper, and sketched out a new monocoque body. Then a mockup was hand-shaped, before the final form was made using a carbon fiber, woven glass and epoxy composite. Matt’s drawn inspiration from modern flat track machines, but his thinking was also influenced by the past—borrowing lines from 1970s Champion-style fuel tanks and seat units.

What, then, separates the Sennheiser HD1 In-Ear Wireless from the mass of other cable-free in-ear audio enablers that are popping up? Weve been living with them to find out. Design Headphones are becoming as much design-led fashion accessories as they are suppliers of solid audio performances. Sadly, Sennheiser clearly didnt get that memo. The HD1 In-Ear Wireless arent ugly bits of kit, but neither are they the most stylish option going. Unlike the Beats X which offer a cool, minimalist finish or the Bose QC30 s that bring a certain refined elegance to the table, the HD1s are just a bit businessman boring. Chunky black plastic ends host all the inner workings and protrude from a leather neck band. Its a design thats pleasingly understated, yes, but cant shake the air of being designed with mid-40s accountant in mind.

Using The Misfit Phase As A Sleep Tracker Despite its chunky design, the Phase is comfortable enough to wear at night. It tracks sleep pretty reliably, breaking it down into light and deep sleep, as well as any periods in the night when you wake up. One error it made most nights was to start recording sleep too early if I was awake but not moving, when watching TV or reading for example. I’d check my sleep total in the morning and be amazed at getting ten hoursrest, before realising and having to subtract a couple from the previous night. Editing the totals is simple, but still, it defeats the point of automatic tracking. The six-month battery life on the Phase is also useful for sleep monitoring, because you dont have to charge it at night to track activity in the day. The silent alarm is easy to set and buzzes firmly enough to wake you up; you can also see what time it is set for by pressing twice on the top button on the Phase, a welcome shortcut that means you dont get a bedtime dose of the dreaded sleep-disrupting blue light.

Zayn just did an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, in which he talks about developing an eating disorder and struggling with anxiety. Both stemmed from that he said was an overly-controlled atmosphere while he was a member of One Direction - and he says he overcame both conditions after leaving the group in 2015. Number 3: Bruno Mars That's What I Like " Bruno Mars rises a slot to third place with “That’s What I Like” – this is his eighth single to reach the Top Three. Mars' real name is Peter Hernandez – he says his father bestowed the nicknameBruno” upon him because he was a chunky little boy who reminded his dad of the pro wrestler Bruno Sammartino. He says he picked the “Marsname himself, to add a little pizzazz. Number 2: Migos Featuring Lil Uzi Vert Bad And Boujee" Migos and Lil Uzi Vert stay strong in second place with their former champBad And Boujee,” and these Georgia rappers have been making noise in Texas.

The Lightning port has thus far resisted the cruel fate that befell the headphone jack, and despite rumors that it may be disappearing come iPhone 8, for the present and foreseeable future, Lightning cables are a hot commodity for iPhone users. As such, we must make do in this strange time in which long, glorified strings are desirable objects. So go ahead and indulge in these 10-foot long Lightning cables, giving you extreme flexibility while you charge. These Lightning cables offer over three times the normal reach of a standard power cord and are 100% MFi-Certified, so you can use them safely without fear of frying your $800 slab of glass. This pack even includes three of them, so you can keep one plugged in behind the bed, one by the couch, and one by the other couch for near-infinite battery life. But seriously, having a cord that will wrap behind a chunky office desk or comfortably reach the back seat of a car is a definite improvement.

An understated design Looks-wise the Corsair One has a refreshingly understated design. Its matt black finish means the machine wont stand out too much when placed alongside other pieces of electronics, and although Corsair has included a couple of neon blue lights on the cases front (how could it not?), these are fairly subtle, and can be turned off if youre not a fan of having your machine light up like a minimalist Christmas tree. The left and right sides of the machine are perforated to allow air to be drawn in through the water-cooling radiators, and this air is then expelled out of the top of the machine through a chunky grille. The aim here is quiet performance, and while the Corsair One seems to be louder than a full desktop tower build at idle, its much better than comparable small form-factor machines.

If you want to keep wearing the Blaze all day you might want to consider a more formal band, like this leather number which comes in Black, Camel or Mist Gray. It gives the wearable the look of a normal wristwatch, albeit a chunky one - but you will need to get good at clipping those bands in and out. You probably wont want this as your main Fitbit Blaze band, as the silicone material looks a bit cheap, but then it is cheap, so it could make for a handy spare, or one to use at the gym, while swapping it out for one of the classier entries on this list when not working out. The Wearlizer Silicone Classic Band also comes in a huge range of colors, so whether you’re more into an understated dark blue or a flashy hot pink it’s got you covered. Fancy a good looking band so you can wear your Fitbit Blaze to a big meeting at work? This may be the best choice for you if you don't want to spend much money.

9.3 cm is. It is exactly that size. Compare that, that is atypical smart phone. That works. Anything bigger than that, or thicker than half an inch, like this a very chunky camera, has to go in the hold.-- That is a typical. Valuable pieces of kit will have to go into the hold, too

There are two sets of cells, one each for screen and Pi. We like the idea and we like his write-up for its clear run-down of the modules required even though it's mostly a plug-together build. We described it as Something close to a laptop because it has one glaring omission. He's using an external keyboard rather than having incorporated one within the case. We think there looks as though there is plenty of room for one, so perhaps he'll return to the project and upgrade it in that way. For reminding us that cigar boxes can make excellent laptop cases though, we're thankful. We've featured numbers of Raspberry Pi laptops over the years since the little computer's launch. Just a small selection are this one using the official touch screen , a rather beautiful one in the style of a Psion palmtop , and one that is rather chunky but has a small footprint . Meanwhile in cigar boxes, we've brought you an excellent little 555 organ . Filed under: Raspberry Pi

The X930E series comes in two different sizes, a 65-inch and 55-inch version, the latter of which is what well be covering in-depth here. Design Considering the Slim Backlight Drive was originally designed to be, well, slim, the 55X930E is, somewhat ironically, a fairly chunky TV by todays standards. Its heavy too we strongly advise against trying to set it up by yourself. That said, it does wear its bulk fairly sharply, though. Its black screen frame looks glossy and well built, and the half-and-half gold/black outer trim is distinctive and very Sony. The gold tone extends to the attractively no-nonsense desktop stand and entire back panel, too. The back panel is distinctive for two other reasons: the diamond pattern engraved into it, and the fact that large sections of it are made of removable panels.

Velomacchi bills its stuff as ‘privateer gear,’ and there's a strong enduro influence here—the straps are kitted with details like elastic strips for guiding a hydration hose, a medical ID card slot, a slot for a tire gauge or pen, and a flat plastic panel that can be used to mount a POV camera. And the chunky aluminum helmet clip on the back is a nice touch. On the down side, the Speedway isn't the biggest pack around. I can generally cram in a MacBook, sweater, notebook, charger(s), earphones, sunglasses, gloves and my FujiFilm X30, before things start to get tight. Which is fine, since I seldom carry more—but if you tend to do the grocery run on your way home from work each day, it might be an issue. It's also not quick to get in and out of; the main roll-top fastening hook, and the toggle closures on the outside pockets, take some getting used to.

In a room normally used for an evening bridge club, Christiane, 60, was clutching a plate of cured pork sausage with a mini French flag stuck in it at a pre-dinner drink for Front National supporters. Dressed in colourful knitwear and a chunky wooden necklace, she used to vote Communist and was a feminist who burned her bra in the 1970s. But she now wants Marine Le Pen to be president. Once inside its chunky, waterproof housing (this takes the overall weight up to 110g), the little camera quickly takes a more serious tone, with the thick plastic and oversized buttons suggesting it can withstand a pummelling. However, even though the casing ruins some of the camera's more delicate features, it still boasts some cool red detailing around the lens, which gives it a bold look in the increasingly crowded action cam field. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the small range of accessories that came with our review unit. The main anchoring base didn't quite fit the plastic thumbscrew points affixed to the waterproof housing. As a result, the camera had a tendency to flop forwards under its own weight, regardless of how tight the thumbscrews were ratcheted. The package also contained a glorified selfie-stick, complete with wireless remote, as well as chest strap and a watch-style wrist strap for the aforementioned remote.

There are lots of these band adaptors out there now, but we've selected the Wearlizer as a good example for its intuitive and tool-free fitting system, as well as its easy availability through Amazon on both sides of the pond. TR's recommended Watch : Apple Watch Sport, either colour and size Price : £10 , ( $15 , around AU$20) Best for : Extreme sports/outdoorsy types We buy chunky protective cases for our iPhones and iPads, so why not our iWatches? This rugged strap-cum-case from i-Blason is just about the least sympathetic to Apple's beautiful design work we've ever seen, but it's also the most protective. For some people, that will matter. Besides holding the Apple Watch on your wrist, the i-Blason Unity covers all of the core unit's exposed metal body. The crown is allowed to poke through on the side, but it sits in a recess so as to fend off any glancing knocks.

You only have to look at how the iPhone killed any interest in diamond-covered "luxury" phones - even amongst the filthy rich. So perhaps wisely, Tag Heuer has come out with its own take on the smartwatch - by taking Android Wear and giving up touch of Tag's class. Priced from 1,100 (US$1,500, around AU$2,100 - about 5 times as expensive as a normal Android Wear watch), the Tag Heuer Connected won't be cheap, but will make you look pretty slick at the golf club. The body is made from grade II titanium - the same material with which the company makes it's traditional watches. It is also fairly chunky at 12.8mm thick (so at least it looks expensive). The trade-off though appears to be on the inside, where spec-wise the price doesn't match the performance. Faster, higher resolution devices are available at lower prices. But of course, if you do go for a Moto 360 instead, it won't have the classic Tag Heuer watchface. Read the full review: Tag Heuer Connected

Status Audio is not like most other headphone-makers. Its a brand-less brand, its whole game being No Logos, No Celebrities, Just Sound. The value of the $79 (65/around AU$102) Status Audio CB-1 is pretty much impossible to dispute, particularly when theres a lot to like about the sound. Its not perfect. These arent miracle headphones. But they are a solid buy. Design and features Large over-ear design Comfortable pads Logo-free but with some flashy metal rings Status Audio calls the CB-1 studio monitor headphones, implying theyre the kind a producer might use to mix an album. However, they could easily be mistaken for a gaming headset instead. Theyre big full-size headphones with thick pads and a chunky headband. You can wear them outside, sure, but judging by how many headphone-makers crank out smaller, less brash-looking portable pairs these days, they dont exactly look the height of fashion.

With the Creators Update , Microsoft has been making some welcome changes in terms of giving users greater control over aspects of Windows 10, such as more upfront privacy settings . But when it comes to options for dealing with mandatory updates on a metered connection, the company appears to have taken a step backwards in the latest preview build of the OS. You may be familiar with the option to postpone automatic downloads of Windows updates when youre on a metered connection, because obviously, if youre using your tablet or laptop with a 4G connection for example, chunky updates could get you in serious hot water regarding your data allowance. But, as spotted by SuperSite Windows , in the latest preview build of Windows 10 (version 15058) the text describing update settings under Windows Update has changed. Previously it read: Available updates will be downloaded and installed automatically, except over metered connections (where charges may apply).

Image 5 of 26 It’s not difficult to see why pickup trucks have become so popular. They were once the domain of builders and workmen, but high-specification models have become popular as a good-value alternative to conventional SUVs. They have significant road presence, muscular looks and can deal with life’s knocks and scrapes. Plus, for those with active lifestyles, the large load bay out back can be a real boon. Whether it’s bikes or jet skis, you name it, with a big payload capacity you can carry what you like. The Fiat’s rugby position name hints at its ability to cope with the rough-and-tumble of an active life and that’s certainly the impression you get on close inspection. Running boards with steps, a skid-plate below the deep front bumper and big, chunky alloy wheels lend a ‘dont messair. Inside, substance very much takes priority over style, with a simple layout and robust materials, if not much in the way of futuristic design or classy finishes.
