If you're bored or turned off by the prospect of an unprecedented NBA Finals "three-match" between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, you're missing the point. Sure, these are largely the same casts of characters, in both name and core personnel, that have split the last two Larry O'Brien Trophies. But both teams have undergone changes since last June that go beyond cosmetic. Where LeBron James might have been able to take breaks in the past against Harrison Barnes, he now has to stay locked and loaded at all times opposite Kevin Durant . The big guy setting screens and going goon for Golden State is no longer a leaping Australian (Andrew Bogut) but rather a ground-bound Georgian (Zaza Pachulia). The scrappy Cavs' second unit of old has been supercharged with aging All-Stars in Kyle Korver and Deron Williams . And that's to say nothing of a battle in the coach's boxes that could tilt one way or another depending on whether Mike Brown has to stand in for Steve Kerr and match wits with Tyronn Lue.

Monday, May 29, 2017 - 19:51 “If it’s your first race then all you need to focus on is getting to the finish line and enjoying the experience, whatever the distance,” says elite runner and coach Shaun Dixon ( letsgetrunning.co.uk ). “Just by finishing the race you’re guaranteed to get a new personal best! That said, most people start a race with a target time in mind, and it’s good to give yourself a realistic goal to hit.” “You’ll have done the hard training over many months, especially if your event is a half or full marathon or an ultra, but you need to execute your race-day pacing and nutrition strategy perfectly – that’s the key to your best-ever race,” says Dixon. Here’s his advice on shaving seconds – or even minutes – from your PB. RECOMMENDED: Tapering Tips From Running Coach Shuan Dixon Pace If this is your first race at this distance, your best bet for the fastest time possible is to try to run at a consistent pace from starting gun to finishing line.

San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker told L'Equipe (h/t Eurohoops.net ) that he plans to return from his ruptured left quadriceps tendon in January. Parker suffered the injury in May during San Antonio's series against the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals and underwent successful surgery shortly after. Parker expressed his disappointment about suffering the injury, especially after Gregg Popovich's decision to limit his minutes throughout the season left him fresh for the postseason. "The first thing that came in when I got injured was frustration," Parker told L'Equipe . "I was super good, and we had the chance to go until the end and get the title. The coach's plan worked like a clock. I was consistent, playing for 20-25 minutes per game. My series against Memphis was good, and I had a good start to the season." Parker, 35, averaged 10.

Of course, the Predators are not going to get much cooperation from their hosts. The Penguins are trying to make it two Stanley Cups in a row, and both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin are looking for the third titles of their respective careers. They are two of the best players in the world, and they have proved themselves time and again in the most important games. Winning is what matters most, and Penguins forward Matt Cullen spoke about Crosby's motivation. "I know just being around Sid and talking with Sid how much this means to him," Cullen said , per Nicholas J.

"Sharjeel played both the balls on merit and he played forceful shots on both and one (stroke) could have resulted in a single. Had he wanted to play a dot ball he would have either left it or played with a dead bat." Yousuf called for officials to present more proof, "or else don't make fun of players". Islamabad United coach Dean Jones, a former Australian batsman, also defended Sharjeel last week, saying the two balls were not suspicious from a cricketing perspective. Spot-fixing involves attempts to determine the outcome of a specific part of a match rather than the overall result, and is therefore harder to detect than match-fixing. Bowlers Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Nawaz, who also featured in the second edition of the Twenty20 tournament, have so far been suspended for failing to report offers to fix. The fate of batsmen Khalid Latif, Nasir Jamshed and Shahzaib Hasan has yet to be decided.

Novak Djokovic , Rafael Nadal and Garbine Muguruza all qualified for the second round of the 2017 French Open with relative ease on Monday, while Caroline Wozniacki had to dig deep against teenage star Jaimee Fourlis . Jelena Jankovic's tournament came to an early end, while Milos Raonic and David Goffin took care of business in dominant fashion. To view the full bracket and results from Monday, visit the Roland Garros official website . Many fans had been looking forward to Djokovic 's first outing under new coach Andre Agassi, and while the defending champion was far from perfect against Marcel Granollers , he still put the Spaniard away in three sets. The scores were 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. The Serb showed some vulnerability on serve but displayed a great backhand and his typical brilliance in the return game. Stuart Fraser of the Times noticed Agassi wasted little time getting out of the stands as soon as the match was over: Per tennis writer Carole Bouchard , the Djoker lived up to his nickname after the match: Nadal also showed flashes of weakness in his win over Benoit Paire , falling behind in the second set before recovering in time.
