Of the few security cameras I have tried (Canary, Piper, Blink), Canary is easily my favorite . It automatically turns to away mode when I'm not around, records short clips when it detects motion, lets me turn the privacy feature on when I'm there, doesn't require any constant fiddling on my part, and integrates with Wink for a lot of automations. I find that the free plan suits me with its 24 hours of recorded motion clips and unlimited bookmarks and downloads, but if I were to travel or get more cameras like that spiffy new Flex , I'd surely need the Membership plan. You can sort the list of locations by country, city, the number of servers, load or ping time, so it's easy to drill-down to the location you need. There's access to options like the protocol, OpenVPN port, DNS leak protection and more, and logs to help diagnose problems. Performance tests* started well. Connecting to a local UK server halved our upload speeds to around 8Mbps, but latency was barely changed from what we usually saw with no VPN, and downloads were an excellent 32Mbps. Switching to a US-Los Angeles connection made for noticeably more lethargic browsing, probably because latency was double the non-VPN rate and upload speeds were 1-2Mbps. But downloads remained at a very capable 15-20Mbps, and if you take the time to try different servers you can do even better. Final verdict OverPlay is a little expensive, but performance is above average, you get plenty of locations to choose from, and there's a no-strings money-back guarantee.

Perhaps the channel you're focusing on has brought you 20 extra leads in a month. How can you tell if that is the best performance possible? Without a strategy that identifies past performance and outlines objectives, there is no way to accurately develop a plan that allows you to reach the goals you've set." I second that sentimentindeed, there is nothing to dispute about that conclusionwhich makes the power of marketing intelligence all the more important. For, without a relevance engine, without the means to filter emails that recipients open and click, in addition to data regarding website registrations, content downloads, readership of website content, social media activity, keyword searches and readership of blog contentwithout the ability to separate truth from conjecture, marketing will be less accurate and far from scientific.

For example, searching "Shawshank Redemption" will bring up the 1994 classic. Select it with the remote and Roku will display all the places to find it, which includes Vudu, Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu, MGo, Crackle, Cinema Now and Plex, as long as you have the corresponding app already installed. File support Where this Roku singularly fails to impress is as a media player. While there are actually several media playing channel options, none allow the Roku 3 to function as a competent replacement for a dedicated media player, Smart TV or connected Blu-ray deck. Its native video codec/container support is way too limited at just MP4 and MKV. While the Roku is MKV friendly, it's unable to downmix the AC3 audio commonly found on MKV downloads and this means you'll need to run the player through an AV receiver just to decode audio. If you connect directly to a TV, the file simply plays silent.

If your video supports subtitles then an icon will appear in the bottom right of the video player where you can select your language and toggle them on and off. I found the iPhone 5S was averagely comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, with the thin frame and sharper edges not making it conducive to lengthy watching, although if you invest in the leather case you'll be able to prop it up against a mug or seat back without it sliding all over the place. One issue I had was with the placement of the headphones port which is right on one side of the handset, meaning the rigid plastic connector sticking out of the bottom of the phone does get in the way of your hands somewhat. I should also mention that when it comes to video it still absolutely pays to have an iDevice, as things like BBC iPlayer, 4OD and Sky Go all have downloads available on the iPhone 5S.

Alan Martin 3 min 42 sec ago Life Culture Apple has announced that it is increasing App Store prices in India, Turkey and the United Kingdom. In an email to app developers seen by The Guardian , the company wrote that “when foreign exchange rates or taxation changes, we sometimes need to update prices on the App Store.” In the UK’s case, the pound has been extremely weak since the country voted to leave the European Union on 23 Junefalling 18.5 against the US dollar. That means that apps that currently cost 79p will cost 99p in changes that will roll out over the next seven days. It’s not limited to low-cost apps, either. Unlocking the full version of Super Mario Run , for example, will jump from a one-off payment of £7.99 to £9.99. See related Fujitsu execs outline Brexit concerns The Brexit vote is already hurting tech salaries ARM sold for bargain price thanks to Brexit This doesnt mean that the cheapest apps will now cost just shy of a pound, however, as Apple has plans to introduce a new lowest price point of 49p, with another tier for the previous low of 79p – so in theory, apps that cost 79p today could cost the same in a month’s time, but the developer would have to manually reprice them to remain static.

Sure, theres free access to the online service when it launches alongside the console in March, but that wont be the complete version. Instead, Nintendo plans to add additional features including an app service in the Fall which, annoyingly, is when the free trial period ends. A costly mistake Lastly, it appears that Nintendo hasnt really learned its lesson from the error it made with the launch of the Nintendo 3DS as overall, the Switch appears to be too expensive for what it is. At 280/$299 the console doesnt seem particularly expensive for a new console. However, its accessories and games are expensive and for anyone that prefers digital downloads to carrying cartridges when gaming on the go, therell be the added cost of a micro SDXC card to expand its small 32 GB internal memory. This adds to how much more expensive the Switch is compared to the more powerful PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

Australia has always been at the forefront of new mobile technology rollouts, and 4G is no exception. Initially rolled out by Telstra late in 2011, both Optus and Vodafone quickly followed suit rolling out their own versions of LTE technology. Over the past few years, all three telcos have committed to massively expanding their 4G networks to not only reach more and more people across the country, but also introduce new technologies to offer faster downloads, while new features like Voice over LTE and LTE-Broadcast are beginning to make an appearance. The transition to 4G was fairly quick, really, given the Australian thirst for faster speeds. But now that 4G has become a standard rather than just a new and exciting feature, the battle lines now seem to be drawn over not just coverage areas, but device compatibility, download speeds and 4G features.

China is requiring that all app stores operating in the country register with its Cyberspace Administration in an effort to battle malware but also to tighten control over uncensored content. The rules took effect Monday, in a country where domestic third-party app stores -- not from Apple or Google -- are serving billions of downloads to Android smartphones. Chinese internet companies such as Baidu, Tencent and a host of smaller, shadier local app stores have been feeding the demand, at a time when Google has largely pulled out of the market. Handily, it can also save chunks of maps for offline use - great when you're heading somewhere with poor connectivity. It's an easy way to supercharge your iPhone's mapping capabilities and one of the first apps you should grab for the iPhone 7 when it launches. If you live in or visit one of the supported cities (which include London, Paris, Berlin and New York), Citymapper is an essential download, assuming you want to find your way around more easily. It'll zero in on your location and then intelligently get you from A to B, providing all kinds of travel options and routing, and, where relevant, live times for transit. Sometimes with apps, it's the seemingly little things that make a big difference. With Overcast , for example, you get a perfectly decent podcast app that does everything you'd expect: podcast subscriptions; playback via downloads or streaming; a robust search for new shows.

For those who prefer digital downloads to carrying cartridges, however, itll be welcome news as it was revealed that launch title Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will take up almost half of this space on its own without taking into account the fact that the consoles operating system will also have to take up storage space. Expanding the consoles memory wont come cheap, though, since buying a 256GB Micro SDXC can set you back over 100. Taking into consideration the cost of the console, its games and its accessories this is worth bearing in mind. Don't miss our hands on review of the Nintendo Switch

Last year, the Super Mario and Donkey Kong maker released "Miitomo" – a free-to-play and interactive game – as it tries to compete in an industry that has increasingly gone online. It scored another hit with the Pokemon Go app released in July, but the impact on Nintendo's profits will be limited. The company is the creator of the Pokemon franchise but does not own the licence for the game, which was developed and distributed by US-based Niantic, a spinoff of Google. Last month, Nintendo released the Super Mario Run game for iPhones, which topped download charts and drew more than 40 million downloads globally in the first four days after its release, according to the company. But analysts warned its popularity could be hampered by a relatively high $10 price tag for access to the full game, since many online offerings are free. — AFP

If you try to connect to an unsecured hotspot then SecureLine will also pop up and ask if you'd like it to protect you, a handy extra as it's easy to forget to connect manually. This all makes for a smooth and straightforward experience, and the news only got better when testing began. In our tests*, our best-case UK-UK connection showed latency was up by a third, but download speeds saw a minimal fall of around 5% compared to what we would normally get, and were consistently over 35Mbps. SecureLine's US-UK speeds were also well above average. Latency doubled and upload speeds dropped by two-thirds, but downloads were still averaging around 28Mbps. That was within 20% of our no-VPN speed results, and two to three times the rates we've seen with many competitors. Avast may be expensive, but at least you can see where the money is going. Final verdict Easy-to-use and with excellent performance, Avast SecureLine is a great VPN choice for a single computer.

You can still link the app to your Facebook friends list and see their posts, you just won't know which friend made each post... although guessing is half the fun. Fast Speed Test isn't just referring to the speed of your network in its name, but also the fact that it's superfast at testing it, getting to work the instant you launch the app. This Netflix creation estimates your download speed by performing a series of downloads from the company's servers, giving you a quick estimate of how speedy your internet is. It doesn't test your upload speeds, ping or latency as it's designed to keep things as simple as possible and there are plenty of other services for them if you need more details, but if you just want a speedy snapshot of the internet performance on your phone Fast Speed Test is hard to beat. We've all been there. You've decided you want to watch a very specific show or film and now need to hunt through all six billion different streaming sites to see if or where it's available.

In fact, it doesn't cost anything at all, though if you want it to automatically generate passwords or to be able to fully manage your account from your Android device you will need to shell out for a single in-app purchase. 1Password remembers all of your passwords no matter which device you're on. Well, all but one, as the name suggests. You will still need to remember whatever password you use for the app itself. Unless that is you have a fingerprint scanner on your phone, in which case all it needs is a tap. AES-256 encryption, secure notes and a slick interface with all your logins organised into folders are just the icing on the cake. £1.15/US$1.49/AU$1.99 There's an enormous number of music players to choose from on Android, but Shuttle+ is one of the best. With an attractive and intuitive Material Design-inspired interface and most of the options you'd hope for from a premium player, including gapless playback, a sleep timer, lots of themes, automatic album artwork downloads, a 6-band equalizer, widgets, Chromecast support and a lot more besides it's a joy to use.

Fortunately UnoTelly supports OpenVPN as well, and that was more successful. The website provided our OpenVPN configuration files, we imported them and managed to connect right away. In our tests*, first impressions of the service performance weren't too bad. Okay, download speeds on the UK-UK connection were halved compared to what we normally got, but that still gave us a usable 12-13Mbps, and with latency and upload speeds little changed the web remained responsive. Then we tried connecting from the UK to a US server, and our speeds fell through the floor. Downloads barely passed 2Mbps, less than a tenth of our no-VPN rate, and although we extended testing to see if this was a fluke, things didn't get any better. Final verdict UnoTelly markets itself on its site-unlocking UnoDNS service, with the VPN as an optional extra, and our tests showed why.
