The seats are comfortable too, and only a slightly high steering wheel detracts from the well-considered driving position. • Audi A5 Coupe 2.0 TDI Sport review The doors at the back mean it's easier for passengers to get in, but there's still not a huge amount of headroom or legroom, especially for taller adults. There's enough space for kids, and the 480-litre boot gives the Sportback a practical side – but if it’s versatility you’re after then an A4 Avant will tick more boxes. Image 6 of 14 Image 6 of 14 Audi's excellent Virtual Cockpit system is available in place of the conventional analogue dials, displaying sat-nav and other data right in front of you. There's loads of kit on S Line models like the one we tested, although be aware that the larger 18-inch wheels do nudge CO2 emissions skywards - a crucial consideration for company car buyers.

Owner Natalya Palladicheva, who opened the restaurant two years ago, named it Trump after the English word that means a high-ranking hand of cards. She didn't like the sound of the Russian equivalent. Burdened with the association, Palladicheva after the November election introduced a Donald Trump menu, which features an 18-centimeter (7-inch) -high hamburger. It's a joke of course, Palladicheva explained while attending the pre-inauguration party at the jazz club. We all want relations between Russia and American to improve, particularly for Russia. At the table across from her, two middle-aged men, dressed in black and wearing cargo pants, were eating burgers with Bologna sausage. One of them, a personal trainer from California, called it a Trump burger. There's nothing to be afraid of in Russia, said Jim Barcena, who has been coming to Russia to train professional boxers since 2009.

My TV is bigger than your TV. That's always the thrust of consumer electronics exhibitions, and CES 2017 was no different, with 100-inch+ TVs all over the place. Except that this year one manufacturer while also making the usual bigger-is-better argument came to a completely different conclusion. The future of television is panel-less, says Amy Lessig, National Training and Execution Manager at Hisense. She was talking about Hisenses 100H10D, a laser TV being shown-off at CES 2017, but its really a projection system. Its a short-throw model capable of projecting onto a wall from barely 13 inches away, it deals in 4K Ultra HD resolution, and it creates images as big as 100-inches in diameter. We think its going to be the future of television.

Some of us have a strange fear of projectors. That theyre some unknowable quantity that only AV students and master electricians can understand. But trust us, theyre not. Projectors are just as easy to set up as a new flatscreen and, guess what, they usually have a larger max screen size, too. Summarized, the benefits of a projector include a more cinematic experience in your home with a massive image, great resolution and cost, often, less than the 65 or 75-inch screen you had in mind. There are some downsides here, too, including caring for a lamp and some input delay in some cases, but the pros far outweigh the cons. But you knew all that already, right? Thats why youre here looking for a the best cheap projector and not, I dont know, perusing cheap TVs. Good for you. So what makes a good deal on projectors? Look were not going to tell you how you should spend your money.

More snow and rain pummeled the West on Thursday as the first in a series of expected storms soaked morning commuters in much of California, dumped 18 more inches of snow in the Sierra Nevada and closed schools in Oregon. The first of three anticipated winter storms hit the Lake Tahoe area, with another 6 feet of snow possible by Monday in the upper elevations of the Sierra Nevada. Since January 1, more than 15 feet of snow has fallen at some Tahoe area resorts, the most in more than five years. Californians endured snarled morning commutes, downed trees and heavy snow in the mountains. A storm system dumped nearly an inch of rain on San Francisco and more than 3 inches at some locations in the Napa-Sonoma wine country. Some flights at San Francisco International Airport were delayed several hours. In Southern California's Santa Monica Mountains, rain fell at rates of up to a half-inch an hour, and a rockslide closed canyon roads near Malibu.

But thats not all Homtom claims to use a magnesium alloy frame to make the HT20 resistant to shock. That frame is covered with plenty of rubber to absorb bumps, and as expected, the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and works flawlessly even when used with gloves. The display adopts the same format as many of its competitors: 4.7-inch and 1280 x 720 pixels. Opting for a smaller screen theoretically improves resistance to shatter and shocks, while a lower resolution should improve battery life, plus when you wear gloves, bigger-sized icons are preferable anyway. The ports (USB and audio) are covered by a rubber flap. Now, with our review sample, the flaps were very solidly anchored in place, so much so that it took more than a few seconds to open them. An example, perhaps, of taking resilience a tad too far, but we can see why Homtom does this.

You know that you are treading a very fine line, and if you go one inch too far, you will end up in prison or, who knows? I definitely don't draw this line for myself.

For those seeking an exciting daily drive that isnt as uncompromising as a Megane 275, the new Peugeot 308 GTi makes a worthy alternative. Image 6 of 52 Image 6 of 52 evo Tip The 308 GTi was previously available with its engine in two different states of tune, you had the choice of either 247bhp or 266bhp. However, everyone opted for the latter so the least powerful option was ditched. That’s fine by us though, as the top of the range version not only had more power but it also came with bigger 19-inch wheels, a Torsen limited slip differential and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. All of which make the 308 GTi a more engaging drive. The 308 GTi is available in a colour called Magnetic Blue, it’s a deep and vivid colour. It is a £525 option, but it’s worth it for the multitude of compliments it will attract. evo Comment Running the standard Michelin Pilot Super Sports the 270 model finds tremendous turn-in and mid-corner bite.

The Pro range in both name and price is clearly aimed at the upper end of the market, while Apple could position the iPad Air 3 as a more affordable option. It develops less torque than the diesel - 260lb ft - but that figure is developed all the way from 1400-4000rpm, so flexibility shouldn't be a problem. Topping the range is Kia's twin-turbocharged 3.3-litre V6 - on which you can read more below. All models get an eight-speed automatic transmission and both rear- and all-wheel drive will be available, the latter a suitably sporty rear-biased system with torque vectoring. The engine under the bonnet will be most easily identifiable by wheel size - diesels get 17-inch wheels, 2-litre petrols ride on 18-inchers, and the range-topping V6 gets 19-inch wheels with a staggered setup, with 225-section tyres up front and 255-section rubber astern. Tech will be comprehensive: there's a head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, and audio options up to and including a 15-speaker, 720-watt Harman-Kardon setup paired with an 8-inch infotainment screen.

AOC has revealed a huge premium gaming monitor which is curved and ultra-wide, aimed at eSports pros and boasting Nvidias G-Sync technology. The AOC Agon AG352UCG is a large 35-inch VA panel with a curvature radius of 2000mm and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 (which is a 21:9 ratio otherwise known as ultra-wide, for a wider field of view i.e. greater peripheral vision in your games). It has a refresh rate of 100Hz (which isnt so high these days, but equally wont be overly demanding of your graphics card) and a response time of 4ms (gray-to-gray), plus you get Nvidias G-Sync which guards against stuttering and tearing for smoother gameplay. AOC has also incorporated flicker-free tech so the display is easier on the eyes, and a low blue light option is thrown in towards the same end. Health-wise, theres also an ergonomic stand which can be adjusted for height, tilt and swivel.

Apple's new line of iPad models might not launch "until the second half of 2017," according to sources in the upstream supply chain speaking with DigiTimes . The new 9.7-inch iPad is predicted to enter mass production sometime in Q1 2017, while the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad models will begin production in Q2 of this year. All of the new iPads are described as still being in the "planning" phase. Although it was expected for Apple to announce and launch the new iPads during the Spring, the new report claims that "these tablets may not be announced or even released" until sometime in the second half of 2017. In December, " lower-than-expected" yield rates for the 10-nanometer manufacturing process was rumored to be a potential factor in a delayed launch for the new iPads. Apple reportedly is planning three new tablets for 2017, a 9.7-inch iPad with a friendly price range, a 10.
