Failure to “treat” these evil spirits might result in a curse being put on the home! The people literally believed that, when these spirits came to your door, they would trick you if you did not treat them. “The American version of Halloween came from IrelandThe potato famine in 1840 brought thousands of immigrants from the Emerald Isle. With them came goblins, jack-0-lanterns, bonfires, apples, nuts, and pranksThe Irish are also responsible for bringing trick or treating to great popularity in America. In Ireland on October 31, peasants went from house to house to receive offerings to their Druid god, Muck Olla. This procession stopped at each house to tell the farmer his prosperity was due to the benevolence of Muck Olla … or else misfortune might befall the farmer and his crops. Few farmers risked any such displeasure of the pagan deity, so the procession returned home with eggs, butter, potatoes, and in some cases, coinsTo the Irish farmers this was no joke; they greatly feared the Celtic god might destroy their homes and barnsTrick or treat is part of this pagan heritage.

You'll bring your own bedding (at least pillows and blankets) and most of the churches dont have electricity, instead using lanterns and battery-operated candles, which will be provided. There’s usually no running water either, but you’ll find a supply of water, plus eco-toilets and water basins for washing up. Because none of the churches are heated, champing is a warm-weather activity, running from May through September only. For more information or to make a reservation, visit Champing.co.uk . Members of the Muslim Brotherhood hold high positions in Pres. Obama’s administration, and in key departments such as security and defense. In the United Kingdom, the Muslim Brotherhood is also throughout the country, and has established itself with close ties to the UK government. The same can be said of the Australian government scene. Saudi Arabia is home to the Wahhabi brand of Radical Islam, while Qatar promotes the Salafi brand of Radical Islam, and Turkey, USA and UK are bases for the Muslim Brotherhood brand of Radical Islam. These three brands are the three sides of the same coin. However, the vast majority of Muslims worldwide reject Radical Islam, and according to Islamic scholars, they reject the “Death Cultcalled ISIS, which was born out of the three brands just described. Thousands of pro-Catalan independence activists decorated lanterns with Catalan flags during the traditional Three King’s day parade in Barcelona on Thursday. The Three King's day commemorates the visit and gifting of presents of the Magi to baby Jesus. The traditional parade was celebrated across the Spanish speaking world, with concurrent events running in other Spanish cities and in several Latin America countries. SOT, Jes Carol, Assemblea Nacional Catalana spokesperson (Catalan): "We think it is a lantern. It is a model that we put on sale and the parents along with their children choose their lantern to welcome the Three Kings.” SOT, Gemma Manel, Parade attendee (Catalan): "Our children have made their own [lanterns] each year, but they have chosen to bring it [Catalan flag lanterns] because they are our feelings and the feeling of our home.
