Next Wednesday, March 29, at 9PM EST, the entry period for the 2017 Core77 Design Awards officially closes. If you're on the fence about submitting or are considering entering another competition, the 5 pillars of the Core77 Design Awards prove why we're a cut above the rest. We don't care where you are or what you're doing, here's why you should ignore everything around you and submit your work—before it's too late: Inclusion Design is a broad field, to say the least. In an effort to maintain inclusivity, the Core77 Design Awards offers 14 distinct categories of entry to try and encompass as much of the field as possible. From the more mainstream Consumer Product and Packaging, to the often overlooked Strategy Research and Design Education Initiative, there's a category for designers from all across the spectrum to showcase their work, and receive the recognition they deserve.

The police have databases of what cameras are situated where, who they belong to and how the images can be obtained if an incident has taken place nearby. After a crime has taken place, particularly more serious crime and terrorism, officers will wander around looking for cameras that may be of use and obtain their images,” At 8.10am will be speaking live to @NickFerrariLBC about security when Westminster CCTV is switched off @LBC https://t.co/2AgsD9uXXO David Videcette (@DavidVidecette) June 9, 2016 The Independent reports that the disabled camera service contributed to 1,300 average arrests per year, and 600 criminal incidents. For just 75 cameras, this is pretty impressive. Regardless, the system was officially canceled in September 2016 and hasnt been back since.

The rusty-patched Bumble bee (Bombus affinis) has become the first bee species to be officially placed on the endangered species list (Photo: Dan Mullen/Flickr) M INNEAPOLIS While proposals to place honeybees on the endangered species list have been in speculation for months , some have argued that the population of the world’s most important pollinator could still make a comeback. However, that has proven not to be the case, as the first bee species has now been officially placed on the endangered species list by the United States Department of the Interior. Hence there have been accusations of Microsoft deliberately throwing a spanner in the works for those non-Windows folks trying to use its cloud storage locker on the web. Linux lamentations To give you some idea of the frustration being vented, theres a lengthy Reddit thread on the matter, where one commenter asked: Why would they [Microsoft] want their service [OneDrive] to be slow on Linux? To give the impression that Linux is slow? Another replied: To frustrate and degrade the user base that has moved to Linux because of the ridiculous and underhanded tactics that Microsoft is using to advance their agenda. Unsurprisingly, Microsoft wouldnt be drawn to officially comment on the matter. The Register suggests that all this might be a result of Microsoft simply being very lazy about checking said user-agent string in order to see which version of code should be served to the users browser, and not having a supported version for common browsers like Chrome or Firefox on Linux.

The U.S. launched over 30 strikes against alleged combatants and their safehouses between March 2 and 3. This escalation came only a few months after the notorious January raid during which at least two dozen civilians, including 10 children, were reported to have been killed. The media's pointed focus on the commando raid came after it was revealed that a member of the Navy’s SEAL Team 6 was also killed. The Trump administration has also been escalating tensions with Iran , a country that has faced tremendous pressure from previous administrations for its use of nuclear energy. After ballistic missile tests in February, former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn officially “put Iran on notice.” Donald Trump would later threaten Iran via Twitter : “Iran is playing with fire—they dont appreciate how ‘kind’ President Obama was to them.
