The grief and rage was palpable, both from those close family members walking with the coffins and from the people of Damascus who flocked onto the streets to pay their respects. United in the senseless loss of yet more young lives in this 6 year war beinng waged against Syria by NATO and Gulf state regimes. The thing that unites Syrians most, are our martyrs said Abdo Hadad, whose cousin was among the martyrs. Sadly the last few days in Syria have proven this statement over and over again. Dany Milaneh , from Maloula (photo above), had been shot by a sniper, in his spine, in Zamalka [Damascus suburbs] 2013, and left paralysed, wheelchair bound. His brother, Daoud Milaneh was among the martyrs. Ghoufran Derawan from Damascus was with me today and she said: I was so sad today to be attending the funeral of the heroes of Maloula.

Yaalon also elaborated on one particular incident, which raised eyebrows even among the Israeli press, where Daesh allegedly apologized to the IDF after opening fire. “There was one case recently where Daesh opened fire and apologized,” Yaalon said on Saturday, referencing a clash between the Daesh affiliate the IDF troops in the Golan Heights last November. During the incident, IDF troops had briefly exchanged gun-fire with members of the terrorist group before attacking their position with airstrikes and tank fire, killing four Daesh members. After Yaalon’s shocking comments, his office refused to elaborate on his statements despite repeated media requests. The IDF also declined to comment on how the Daesh affiliate had expressed its apology. So I asked Robby – “The costs associated with building a car with passion, that essentially represents you and who you are, very quickly get lost in the excitement of it all. I never stopped. Each day I’d have a new idea, one I’d want to try out on my M4. So far however I’ve invested around $30,000 on my M4. The largest investment out of that $30,000 was put into the DINAN upgrade, but then again, it’s also made the biggest difference. It’s taken an already perfect car and transformed it into something extraordinary.” And there you have it! A masterfully upgraded DINAN M4 owned by a proper M enthusiast. Catch Robby on Instagram @seattlem4 and of course be sure to check out the photo gallery below. Follow me on Instagram as well @jamesbachici and of course @bmwblog for additional content. Most of us encounter machine learning without realising. It's a type of artificial intelligence that allows our phones to recognise our voice or can tag our face in a photo. We're at an early stage and we need to think about how society copes with those changes and how we do it in a way that the benefits of the machine learning increase our social well-being

Hayfever sufferers in the UK face the worst year ever because of a new super pollen created when plant pollen mixes with diesel fumes. It can trigger extreme hay fever and asthma, according to allergy expert Dr Paul Carson, reports the Mirror Online. He claims that 2017 is shaping up to be the worst year ever for super pollen, and suggests the situation is only likely to get worse until diesel emissions are brought under control. Vehicle fumes are said to create a photo-chemical smog...

PORTLAND, Ore. Look up "perfunctory" in the dictionary. First of all, why do you still own a dictionary? Are you a time traveler from the year 2000? I'll save you the effort: "An action or gesture carried out with a minimum of effort or reflection." There's no photo from Monday night's Warriors/Blazers game next to the text, but give it some time. The energy at the Moda Center wasn't necessarily one of resigned apathy. After all, these are Portland fansmaybe the most dedicated in the league. There were plenty of signs sporting slanderous slogans like "We May Be Down, But at Least We're Not from California" or "All-Weather Fans," despite the grim scenario the home team faced. Still, there were conspicuous empty seats, the free rally T-shirts noticeably draped over the back. The Golden State Warriors jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back in a dominant 128-103 Game 4 win to sweep the Portland Trail Blazers .

Studio images by Michael Furman, ©2013 Courtesy of RM Sotheby's; action photo ©2012, Pawel Litwinski It's not often that an automobile can transcend mere transportation to become a rolling work of art, but this particular Mercedes-Benz 680 S did so in 1928, and continues to inspire fevered competition for ownership. To that end, the one-of-three Torpedo Roadster, with coachwork by Sauotchik of Paris, will star in RM Sotheby's 2017 Villa Erba auction , to be held on Saturday, May 27, in conjunction with the Concorso d'Elegazna Villa d'Este on Lake Como, in Cernobbio, Italy. This 680 S has an intriguing history. Known by its chassis number -35949- it is one of reportedly 174 Model (or Type) S cars built between 1927 and 1930. It was custom-ordered by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Levine in New York City, but they refused delivery of the car when it arrived, allegedly due to business reversals that happened before 1929's infamous stock market crash.

C. holding a sign saying he's Islamophobic. (Photo: Wikimedia Commons) This dehumanization of the millions of victims of the “war on terror” was aided in part by what could be described as an “Islamophobia industry” worth millions of dollars that used the media to regurgitate political talking points instead of challenging them. Yasmine Taeb , co-author of the report Fear, Inc. 2.0: The Islamophobia Network’s Efforts to Manufacture Hate in America , explains that since George W. Bush launched the “war on terror” in 2001, over $57 million has been contributed by eight wealthy donors to anti-Muslim and anti-Islam organizations. According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), 37 U.S.-based anti-Islam groups enjoyed combined revenues of $119 million from 2008 to 2011, adding that the groups are linked to key players in a network that benefited from large sums of money as they encouraged the American public to fear Islam.
