Wrestling fans who were alive and watching WWE programming during the Attitude Era remember the Mean Street Posse and the brightest star of the group Pete Gasparino , better known as Pete Gas. Gas has been retired from the wrestling business for several years, but the story about his entrance into WWE and how he went from having no professional experience to earning a three-year contract never gets old. In a recent interview promoting his new book , Looking at the Lights: My path from Fan to a Wrestling Heel , Gas spoke to Ring Rust Radio about what made the Attitude Era so special, Shane McMahons WrestleMania match against AJ Styles and the recent bullying accusations against John Bradshaw Layfield . Gas was hired by WWE in 1999 as part of the Mean Street Posse, but thanks to the genuine heat they garnered from the fans, they were given three-year contracts.

(BLANCHESTER, Ohio) A man with mental health problems kidnapped a neighbor who had reported receiving harassing phone calls from him and kept her trapped in a small pit in his backyard shed, where her cries for help alerted others and led to her rescue, police said. Police in Blanchester, about 40 miles northeast of Cincinnati, said the owner of the shed, Dennis Dunn, was arrested Wednesday morning and was jailed. They said Dunn has a history of mental health issues. The woman's mother initially reported her missing about 2 a.m. and called police about 4 a.m. to report cries from a shed behind Dunn's house, police said. A responding officer arrived to find the woman in the shed, crouching in a pit about 2 feet wide by 2 feet long and about 3 1/2 feet deep (0.6 meters wide by 0.6 meters long and 1 meter deep) with wood over the top of it.

[Dt99jay] lives in a historic Victorian-era district in the UK. Most homes in the area have ornate exterior window dressings with stone consoles holding up heavy stone hood molding. The window hood molding turned out to be wood most likely the result of damage repaired after the blitzkrieg bombings of WWII. The 1940's era work is now rotting away, so it was time for a repair. When the hood was pulled away from the window, disaster struck. One console completely crumbled, while the other lost large chunks of material. The They weren't solid stone after all, but replacements most likely molded with Coade stone. There are no ready replacements for consoles like this. [dt99jay] couldn't just swap them out for modern looking replacements, so he set about replicating the consoles . The remaining console was much too delicate to remove from the building, so [dt99jay] glued the missing pieces back on.

I like to talk about tools and craft period, so I try not to make these posts too sales-like. But at the same time I do sell tools for a living, and Core77 has covered Festool a fair bit, so I thought this was relevant. This Saturday, Tools for Working Wood is hosting the Festool Roadshow in Brooklyn. This is where the company sends a giant trailer full of tools and demonstration workstations so that people can try them out and ask questions of the dedicated trainers they send. It's also a great opportunity to meet with our own knowledgeable TFWW sales staff, as we ourselves use Festool to construct our display cases and furniture. Talk with them or us about service, availability, speed of delivery and our own experiences with the brand. We'll have on hand new tools for 2017, including the new knockdown Domino connectors (which Core77 wrote up ), and of course we'll have all the saws, sanders, drills, dust extraction systems, et cetera.

source of emissions is actually from domestic wood burning. We are working on plans on how to help households reduce their exposure to that. Diesel is also often used in non-mobile machinery, equipment like cranes, generators and chainsaws. But I recognise the problem he has described relates to vehicles and transport is responsible for a substantial proportion of Ed.

It helps to dampen the sound from the living room without making the space look smaller. An interior window allows sunlight to pour into the kitchen. More small plants line the windowsill, always a great decor option for small spaces. You'll also find a few copper-colored elements scattered throughout. Simplicity defines the kitchen's eat-in dining arrangement. White chairs and a natural wood table put functionality first. A pair of unique candlesticks add a subtle dash of color. Surprisingly, the kitchen strays far from the minimalism the rest of the home enjoyed. The brass fixtures and cabinet handles look incredibly charming against their pastel background. This studio apartment uses sliding glass doors to separate the living and kitchen spaces from the combination office, bedroom, and master bathroom.

Sandpaper has to be the number one consumable in the modern-day furniture shop. But a subset of craftspeople, like Toshio Tokunaga and his four apprentices, don't use any of the stuff—yet are still able to achieve a glass-like finish on their furniture pieces, even absent varnish. Anti-sandpaper furniture builders achieve this with handplanes and spokeshaves, or what are collectively called kanna in Japanese. View the full content here
