It's time for Round Two in our month-long Music Madness event! Just to recap, we've created four brackets ('70s, '80s, '90s and '00s) and picked sixteen one-hit wonders for each one. Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday in March, you'll be able to vote via our Facebook page . You've all been nailing that part so far, and you've narrowed the field down to 32 candidates. Today we're voting on the '80s and the '00s! Of course the brackets closed last week, but you can still enjoy gawking at everyone else's brackets in this thread . Some of those guessers might just win a real trophy at the end of this thing. You can find out what they all stand for on the master list right here . Today's face-offs include the hits of the '70s AND the '90s. Take a look at Scott and Kathleen with our cool bracket wall and see the full list of contestants. Know the songs by heart? Go vote across two decades! Need a refresher? No worries, we've got the head-to-head happening below.

Scott's boss forced h im to include it. You don't want Scott's boss to win this one, do you? Remember: a vote for Deep Blue Something is a vote for freedom and justice. It's not a Madness without some drama! Four more serious battles previewed after the jump. 00s Bracket: Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag vs Fountains Of Wayne - Stacy's Mom There was an in-house debate if "Stacy's Mom" should be on this list. Some said it was an anthem of the 00s! Some said it just wasn't important enough. What do you, the voter, say? Will Team Pro-Stacy be vindicated, or torn down? You'll answer the question later this week! 00s Bracket: Daniel Powter - Bad Day vs Hoobastank - The Reason Tragically there was an error in the brackets. These two single-hit titans were both listed as number 7 and also as number 10, depending on where you looked. But only one can move on! To the victor goes the highest number! IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS! 90s Bracket: k.

Public Enemy - Fight The Power PE was highly political, and very direct about it. A lot of people got mad at them for it. A lot of people just enjoyed the beat and didn't care about the lyrics. And today, they're not as famous as they used to be. When they started, though, they were super-dangerous. And that's what youthful rebellion is all about. Fitz The Tantrums - Dear Mr. President The music doesn't sound dangerous, and neither do the lyrics. But to ask questions to the people in power is ALWAYS a form of rebellion. Even if you're polite, you're reminding the people in charge that they weren't born into the job. They were granted it. Death Grips - Three Bedrooms In A Good Neighborhood NSFW potentially I include this because I know a lot of regular readers will HATE this song. And yet, that's something rebellion requires. One group smashes everything and rebuilds how they like it, and then their kids do the same.

Happy Music Monday! For some reason, there are like a billion songs all about teenagers who die in car crashes. Once you start really digging into the genre it's kinda weird. So, of course, Scott's spending another Monday doing some digging. Join in! And, um, wear your seatbelt. Mark Dinning - Teen Angel I don't wanna say this song started the car crash craze, but it was certainly one of the earlier ones. And it sort of makes sense when you think about it. The idea of a teenager was sorta new in the 1950s, and certainly the post-war teens were the first generation to drive themselves to high school regularly. That mix of youth and rebellion led to accidents, accidents made the paper, and, well, we got some songs. And not just one song. Many songs. Many many many songs. More crashes coming up. Drive safe, kids. Ray Peterson - Tell Laura I Love Her I include this one but if you don't, I'd understand.
