Fancy something bigger? You'll want the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus Samsung Galaxy S8 release date Samsung has now confirmed the release date: 21 April for the US, and 28 April for the rest of the world (including the UK) - although it hasn't given specific information on territories such as Australia. However, you can pre-order the phone already (as long as you leave it a few hours) and you'll get the Samsung Galaxy S8 delivered to your door as soon as the 20 April (but no word on a free Gear VR... boo). Samsung Galaxy S8 price We're still waiting for retailers to announce their pricing for the new flagship phone, but the Samsung Galaxy S8 cost looks a little high, with early rumors pegging it at around $845/695/AU$1,115. However, for that money you do get more storage than before, as the phone will land with 64GB of onboard storage, rather than the 32GB of last year plus there's a microSD card slot and some decent AKG headphones in the bundle too.

But the iPhone 7 still has a high quality display, and not everyone is going to want a huge 5.8-inch option. OS and power The operating system is where the battle lines are drawn between these two phones, with the Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android Nougat and the iPhone 7 using iOS 10.2. Both phones are tremendously powerful though. We know for a fact that the iPhone 7 is the most grunt-worthy handset from Apple yet, with its Apple A10 Fusion chip and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S8 is confirmed to ship with 4GB of RAM, while we don't know exactly what the processors are yet but it's rumored to be either a Snapdragon 835 chipset (in the US) or an Exynos 8895 one (in most other places). Those are both top-end chips, so we expect silky smooth performance in both and perhaps Samsung to at least match the iPhone in terms of screen response under the finger.

As Brexit begins the EU blocks the planned merger of Germany's Deutsche Boerse and the London Stock Exchange. Meanwhile the German stock market hits a two-year high. Britain is officially on its way out of the European Union after 44 years as a member. Britain's ambassador to the EU, Sir Tim Barrow, delivered the Brexit letter to the European Council in Brussels by hand to EC president Donald Tusk, triggering Article 50. Speaking to the House of Commons today Prime Minister Theresa said now was "the moment for the country to come together". Negotiations with other EU countries are expected to start in May. These talks are expected to end in Autumn next year. May confirmed her stance that the rights of EU nationals and the protection of workersrights will be an early priority and that EU leaders have said Britain cannot cherry pick, and stay in the single market without accepting free movement.

Apart from the fact that this hasn't been explicitly confirmed yet (something Samsung fails to do year after year) this is still a good thing, as it means that either way users will get their hands on one of the most powerful phones around, with Samsung's Exynos-powered S8 likely getting the jump in terms of raw output under the finger. There's 4GB of RAM in the Galaxy S8 too. Rumor has it that Asian markets will be getting more (and Samsung has cryptically said the specs will vary throughout the world); however, 4GB is more than enough, and in our tests (you can read about them in our in-depth hands-on Samsung Galaxy S8 review... you know you want to) we found the phone to be lightning fast. As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is running on top of Android Nougat, with the latest version of the operating system offering things like Google Assistant to the user, as well as improved battery management.

Lincoln goes on to say that the arrival of Negan has "breathed a new terrifying life into the show, and at no better time" and to praise Jeffrey Dean Morgan's performance: “I think everybody got a sense of what this actor is capable of in the last episode. But rest assured that that’s really just the beginning of what Jeffrey is creating." “It’s such a great part and it’s so beautifully written. And he’s such an important part of the show, this character, that we needed an actor that could step up and take the bull by the horns and drag it forward, and make it his own. And certainly, that’s what we have this season.” The Walking Dead season 7 cliffhanger Who did Negan kill? That's the question hanging over The Walking Dead as we wait for season 7. And if you were wondering, “Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan’s bat will be revealed in the first episode,” executive producer Greg Nicotero has confirmed to EW .

Those of you who read our articles on UFOs and extraterrestrials will know that we like to emphasize how seriously this topic is taken by government agencies around the world. Many people are still unaware of this, but it's true — in recent years, dozens of governments and defence intelligence agencies have officially released thousands of pages of UFO related documents into the public domain. We also like to point out, just to familiarize our new readers with the topic, that these declassified files indicate not only that UFOs are commonly tracked on military ground radar, but also that they are tracked on air radar and visually confirmed by the pilots who are sent to check them out. This is precisely why hundreds of high ranking political and military personnel, alongside researchers and academicians around the world, have been speaking out about this topic for the past few years.

The sounds can be heard on numerous videos which have made their way onto YouTube. Kimberly Wookey from Terrace, BC Canada has recorded the creepy noises several times. Some of her videos have been watched over 6 Million times on YouTube. In a video recorded in 2013 (below) Kimberly Wookey writes, “This is NOT a fake or hoax. What I recorded is what we woke up to that morning. We still have no confirmed proven source, yet.” Interestingly, Honn Kao of the Geological Survey of Canada said the noise is not related to any seismic activity in the region. Kimberly Wookey has ruled out trains or building work, believing the cause of the noises may be “geophysical”, such as atmospheric pressure or tectonic plates grinding together. NASA explained that our planet makes background noises but in order for humans to pick them up, we would need radio antennas.

This graphic takes you back and shows how sensitive the currency is to news of Gordhan's possible fate. It's clear that investors want him in the job. In 2015 then Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene was replaced and the rand plunged by nearly 6 percent. But the currency surged when the President responded to public pressure, and Gordhan was restored to the post only four days later. There has always been speculation that the President moved under duress and there's a faction of the ANC that wants Gordhan removed. Last year he called the Hawks investigation into him ' no more than political mischief.' The Rand dropped when the Hawks said they were investigating the rogue unit. Then again when he was charged with fraud in relation to a less scandalous matter. But on November the 2nd the charges were dropped. Up goes the rand again. In the same vein the rand plunged yesterday when Gordhan was told to return, and the Presidency confirmed he had been called back but gave no reason.

Hope lies finally in admitting to Yemen’s war reality and the litany of war crimes 26 million souls were made to endure. Dr Riaz Karim, founder of the Mona Relief Organization confirmed to me this March over 18,000 men, women, and children in northern Yemen, have been slain since March 2015. “ Whatever tally the United Nations has admitted to pales in comparison to reality. Reality is harsh in Yemen … much harsher than we can fathom if we consider that seven million people stand today at death’s door on account of famine, ” he said. But the world is catching on at last. At last mainstream media has proven able, and somewhat willing to lift a corner of that proverbial veil, so that, you, the public, be made to connect those dots. The Mirror writes : “ Saudi Arabia’s extreme interpretation of ShariaIslamic law – is so extreme that it has actually been compared to Islamic State.

The new 911 will be a crucial product for Porsche as it'll be the first to come with the option of a hybrid powertrain. Speaking to Autocar last September, Porsche engineers confirmed they were working on how to package a hybrid powertrain in the 911's body - something that could also account for the wider stance of this first test mule. Porsche 911 product line director Erhard Mössle said Porsche "needs an answer" to Tesla and the Model S . " There are discussions," he said. "It’s clear that we have to do something. We have to meet the CO2 regulations in 2020. The technology available is not far away from meeting our goals for such a car in terms of range and charging speed.” Porsche already has hybrid powertrains in its Cayenne SUV and Panamera saloon, with both cars using the same supercharged 3.0-litre petrol engine in combination with an electric motor.

Pravin Gordhan is still South Africa's Finance Minister. He confirmed this to journalists as he entered the High Court in Pretoria this afternoon. The case being heard relates to Gordhan's request for a declaratory order to prevent him from intervening in the relationship between the banks and companies linked to the controversial Gupta family. While he may be in his job, there's been another day of speculation that he faces the axe - after he was summoned home from an investor roadshow in London by President Jacob Zuma. And the rand continued to weaken. Markets have been rattled since the President ordered him to return home yesterday. That accounts for this spike - and remember that a move up means a weaker rand and a stronger dollar. The currency had a rough ride today, and by the close it was still a percent lower against the dollar. For more news, visit: http://www.sabc.co.za/news

He also reiterated that "there are only so many times you can kill Uncle Ben", playing to the Marvel/Sony party line that this Spider-Man film will not revisit the origin story of Spidey once again. "I think it’ll be a fun departure from the Peter Parker you’ve seen", co-writer John Francis Daley told the The Andy Greenwald Podcast , "where now he is truly a kid and I think the stakes are increased in that his struggle through high school is very real and isnt just a sort of side note. It matters now." "We want to explore the fact that just because you get superpowers doesnt make you into a really sophisticated, successful adult. He’s still a kid and he’s clumsy and he’s a geek and he’s a bit of an outcast, and in many ways the superpowers amplify that and exacerbate his trying to fit in", added the other co-writer Johnathan M Goldstein. Speaking to us in an exclusive interview to promote his previous film Cop Car, director Jon Watts confirmed that Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man comic book run could be a big inspiration.

It's a tentpole movie, meaning it's literally for everyone. It's not just a kids' movie disguised as an adult movie or vice versa. I really think it's for all ages. I really do think it has a heart but it's a comedy, as well. I've heard my brother say that the first movie was about creating a family the second movie is more about being a family and the struggle of maintaining that. I think that's spot on and I hope that's what resonates with people." Star-Lord and Gamora won't be the only characters dealing with their daddy issues in James Gunn's forthcoming sequel to his 2014 hit Guardians Of The Galaxy . Karen Gillan, who starred as the villainous Nebula in the first of Marvel's space adventures and who be returning to the screen in April's follow up, has confirmed that she too will be bogged down with some serious father-related fallout. “What I love about the second movie for Nebula in particular is that we get - we know that she’s a pretty angry woman with some daddy issues.

Soon after that, McConaughey returned to the same show and was asked point-blank if his involvment in a new season of True Detective had been confirmed. "No," he replied. "But that conversation you and I had caught wings, because I hear that all the time now. 'So you said you were going to do season 3. When is it coming?' That ball has not advanced at all. I’ve talked to the creator Nic Pizzolatto who’s taking a little break from it. But if that thing was written well and it came up again, I wouldnt hesitate for a second…oh, I’m open to it for sure." Pizzolatto's break, it seems, is now coming to and end. But will McConaughey come back, or will another new cast be found? We'll have to wait and see. We will, of course, bring you more news as we have it. True Detective season 3 release date: premiere estimate If a third season of True Detective does go ahead, it's unclear exactly where and when it will slot into HBO’s schedule.
