It could cost Pershing Gold Corp (TSE:PGLC) (NASDAQ:PGLC) as little as US$12.2 mln in initial capital expense to get the Relief Canyon gold mine in Nevada into production, based on a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) completed in June 2016. Given that on current plans Relief Canyon is expected to produce 88,500 ounces of gold per year over a 5.8 year mine life, that makes for some interesting numbers in the financial modelling. Pershing is currently finalising a pre-feasibility study (PFS) that will nail down the economics with greater certainty. But, as it stands, if the company chooses to mine Relief Canyon itself, the pre-tax internal return could be a very healthy 98%. If an alternative option to use contract miners is pursued, then the IRR could be an even more impressive 125%, although the trade-off is that overall pre-tax net cash flow drops from US$247.

Stretched over the legs like rubber bands, the muscle rings can be made to contract and move the little bots around. Previous incarnations of this technique relied on cultured rat heart muscle cells, which contract rhythmically of their own accord. That yielded motion but lacked control, so for this go-around, [Bashir] et al used skeletal muscle cells genetically engineered to contract when exposed to light. Illuminating different parts of the muscle ring lets the researchers move the bio-bots anywhere they want. They can also use electric stimulation to control the bio-bots. The method isn't quite at the point where home lab biohackers will start churning out armies of bio-bots. But the paper is remarkably detailed in methods and materials, from the CAD files for 3D-printing the forms and bio-bot skeletons to a complete troubleshooting guide.

Elon Musk's spaceflight company SpaceX just aborted its launch in perhaps the most dramatic way possible. A SpaceX Falcon 9 was set to launch an uncrewed Dragon capsule loaded with about 5,500 pounds of supplies to the International Space Station under a contract with NASA, but with just 13 seconds left in the countdown, the company decided to abort the launch. SEE ALSO: Sorry, y'all. SpaceX isn't going to Mars in 2018 The decision was made on Saturday out of an "overabundance of caution" when engineers were concerned about a problem detected in the second stage of the vehicle. If this is the only issue, flight would be fine, but need to make sure that it isn't symptomatic of a more significant upstream root cause Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 18, 2017 Read more... Several games now have complimentary companion apps of their own. Smartglass is an incredibly versatile program that keeps you connected to your online friend community when you can't be right in front of your console. It's an addicting addition to your smartphone - it's available on both iOS and Android devices - and, best of all, it's free. The Windows 8 Smartglass app has its own special features. You can throw a browser page from the console directly onto the screen of your W8 device and use it to pull up extra information on actors from Netflix in real-time while watching a movie. EA Access Announced in late July, EA signed a contract with Microsoft giving the Xbox One a publisher-specific download platform that gives gamers access to a vault of valuable titles and first dibs on upcoming demos. The service, called EA Access , costs $4.99 a month or $30 per year and currently has FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, Need for Speed: Rivals, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, EA Sports UFC, Battlefield 4 and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, bad NBA Live 15 available for download.

TRUMP MUST REDIRECT FOCUS TO CLEANING HOUSE NOW! President Trump has spend his first weeks attempting to keep his campaign promises and to fulfill his Contract with the American Voter, so his supporters already understand he meant what he said and he said what he meant, but right now, in the interest of national security, as one of those supporters, I respectfully suggest President Trump redirect his focus, back burner the rest of those campaign promises just long enough to clean house. As we note from a Fox News report , cleaning house would not necessarily mean removing all members of the relevant departments, as the information in question was highly restricted as former NSA analyst Bill Binney asserts that less than 100 [people would have access to the intelligence]. I think it is compartmentalized, meaning a small circle, less than 100 [people would have access to the intelligence], Binney said.

It's the month of love where many men will go on their knees and asked the ones they love to marry them. The real question is how well do you know your future spouse's financial habits - especially if you plan to marry without a pre-nuptial contract! How much debt do they have? Over-indebtedness, impaired credit reports and bad financial habits have the potential to choke a marriage to death. The Credit Ombud advises consumers on the advantages of understanding each other's finances. For more on this we were joined by Credit ombuds Salem Nolubabalo Dyafta. This payment would violate the Logan Act, given that Flynn is a retired Lt. General and could have been recalled to service (as in a way he was, only on the civilian side, when Trump made him National Security Adviser). Flynn had a lot of baggage. There are also questions concerning the about-face of Flynn with regard to Turkey. He had been a critic (he hates Muslims) but then when his consulting firm got a contract from a Turkish businessman close to President Tayyip Erdogan, Flynn abruptly switched around and became a big booster of Ankara. These indications that the general is a man of easy virtue are not the only alarming things about him, of course. There is also his hatred of Muslims , what with calling Islam a cancer, and alleging that it is a political movement masquerading as a religion, his call for Arab and Iranian leaders publicly to confess that their Islamic ideology' is sick, and in need of healing.

It's the month of love where many men will go on their knees and aske the ones they love to marry them. Some have weddings planned for Valentine's Day. At this point of a relationship couples have already taken the time to get to know each other, their strengths, weaknesses, what makes them happy, etc. The real question is how well you know your future spouse's financial habits - especially if you plan to marry without a pre-nuptial contract! How much debt do they have? Do they service that debt well on a monthly basis? Do they save? Have you seen their credit bureau reports? Are they blacklisted? Are they under debt review? Do they max out their credit cards every month? As unromantic as these questions are - they are an important aspect of any relationship. We discuss these questions and other issues with Salem Nolubabalo, Public Relations Manager from Credit Ombuds office. For more news, visit: http://www.sabc.co.za/news

There’s a clause hidden in most of the long company contracts no one reads. And it’s tucked away for good reason: A lot of people would probably think twice about signing if they knew the clause existed. It’s called an arbitration clause, and it protects companies from lawsuits. A group of Wells Fargo customers is learning that the hard way. But in February, the Supreme Court will decide if companies should be allowed to include arbitration clauses in their employee contracts. Anyone, employees and customers alike, who signs a contract with an arbitration clause has to settle any legal dispute they might have outside of court, in a private arbitration hearing, where companies are far more likely to win. Arbitration agreements have become so popular, it’s almost impossible to open a bank account, get a credit card, rent a car, or use Netflix, Tinder, or Groupon without signing one.

The position of the sorcerer poisoner, a diviner and witch doctor , which finds its origins in African societies, is known as the Piaye among native Amerindians , the Obeah Man among the Bushinengués of the Maroni, and the Gado among the Creoles . The end of slavery in 1848 did not end the relationship between masters and slaves - it was instead prolonged through the forced commitment of contract workers . This meant that violence remained a regular feature in collective memory. It can be seen in the figure of the notorious Gabonese contract worker turned criminal D'Chimbo. D'Chimbo spread terror on the island of Cayenne through his brutal machete attacks from 1860 to 1862, but has been remembered as a hero for fighting the colonial system. At that time, the plantation economy had already been replaced by slash and burn agriculture . The gold rush led to massive acquisition of rifles, turning Guyanese forests into lawless zones.

[Martin] says that by far the most difficult part was the retractable landing gear. The solution uses 0.001diameter Nitinol muscle wire. Muscle wire can be stretched about 5%, then when it is heated above a critical temperature by passing a current through it, it exerts a considerable force in attempting to contract back to its original length. By using two lengths of muscle wire, a pull-pull mechanism can be built in which the contraction of one wire has the effect of stretching the other while either raising or lowering the landing gear at the same time. A push-pull system using nitinol muscle wire provides the raw power behind actuating the landing gear, but required a significant custom assembly to work. However, that was much easier said than done. [Martin] explains: Unfortunately this appealingly simple mechanism is fraught with implementation issues when trying to meet the design requirements.

So, taking all this into account, what has Sony actually launched here? Is it a phone that's filled with compromises to hit a lower price tag, or is it a triumph of convergence? Is it the result of a brand that's spent years working out how to bring the very best features to its phones without breaking the bank, just tweaking the design to offer you a phone that lets you do what you need to do without stuffing in overly expensive components for the sake of it? Sony Xperia X price and release date Released in May 2016 Currently costs 339 SIM-free in the UK, $275 in the US Starts at 25 (UK) on contract but not offered in Australia This phone started off with a SIM-free price tag of 450 in the UK and $549.99 in the US. It's since dropped to around 339 in the UK, but that's still a high price for a phone that doesn't have one of the best processors on the market.

As with the Land Rover Series I Reborn models, the final price is dependent upon trim and options selected, but Range Rover Reborn models will start at £135,000 (roughly $169,000 at current exchange rates). It’s likely these examples will carry the same 12-month, 12,000-mile limited warranty as the Land Rover Series I Reborn models, and we suspect that customers will later be able to contract with Land Rover Classic for restoration of existing early Range Rovers, but are awaiting confirmation from Land Rover Classic on both points.
