We love an ad with some mystery and a lick of runaway glamour. This ones got it in spades, topped with vintage swing from the Zombies Shes Not There. Never Too Wanted, which came out a couple of days ago, stars a furtive brunette driving in the dark. It brings to mind Woman on the Run, a 50s noir crime film but if you need a more established reference, wed use Psycho. Perhaps as a tribute to Psychos own Janet Leigh, our lady pulls up to a diner called Janets and heads straight for the bathroom, tracked by side-eye from a suspicious waitress. Once alone, she does a lot more than take off her kid leather gloves. See the rest, unspoiled: Thats right. Its an ad for Kohlers strangely sexy Composed Faucet Collection! Theres nothing that unconventional about the spot itself, whose on-the-run chic brings lone wolf hits like Gone Girl to mind.

Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda and Aaron Sorkin, the creator of The West Wing , have a lot in common. They're both fiery wordsmiths, well-known for their ability to write spellbinding swathes of dialogue, not to mention their shared fascination with American politics. Given those similarities, it seemed inevitable that their minds would meet. And now they have (sort of) in the form of a truly impressive West Wing rap produced by the West Wing Weekly podcast and featuring Miranda on the mic. Borrowing fictional President Josiah Jed" Bartlet's "What's next?" catchphrase for its title and basic structure, the song lays the in-jokes and character call-outs on thick. Read more... But as it turned out, that wasnt the end of the story of Garden City, or Modelos connection to it. In October, the town would find itself at the center of a major news story when the FBI revealed it had foiled a terrorist plot to bomb an apartment building thats home to many Somali immigrants and a mosque featured in the series. Modelo and the Courageous team knew they had to address an event that affected a group of people they had come to know so well. What we thought of was that were not going to merchandise the news, but we have to be aware, explains Spiegel. So, a sixth video was created by Courageous as a tribute to the people of Garden Citya moving and inspiring two-minute piece urging perseverance. Ultimately, Fight for Better demonstrated how Modelo and its customers were both built from the fighting spirit, says Legan.

[deater] readily admits they're a little behind on what's new in gaming only having just gotten around to Valve's 2007 release of Portal. It's a popular game, but [deater] didn't want anyone to miss out on the fun so set about porting Portal to the Apple II . The port uses the hires mode of the Apple II for the flashy graphics that were state of the art around 1980 or so. It's not a copy of the full game only the first and last levels, combined with Jonathan Coulton's now-classic ending theme, Still Alive. As is to be expected, it's not a wild, fast paced gaming experience, but a cool use of BASIC to put together a fun tribute to a popular franchise. It's a little different to the original portals can be placed anywhere, for example but it rings true to the original. Source code and a disk image is provided, so you can try it for yourself even in this online emulator .
