Other biblical passages frequently quoted by the founders include Proverbs 14:34—"Righteousness exalteth a nation"—and Proverbs 29:2—"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice." Character is destiny, the founders believed, so the virtues and vices of the nations' citizens and leaders have consequences. Dreisbach's argument is weakened somewhat by his admission that "[t]he Bible's influence ... did not necessarily supersede or crowd out other influences on the founders' political thought and rhetoric," and it is sometimes unclear where the Bible ranked among other classical, Enlightenment, and English common law sources. Notwithstanding this uncertainty, he marshals more than enough evidence to support his claim that the Bible was a prominent source for the founders' political rhetoric. Indeed, he is right to assert that neglecting the role of the Bible in the founding "impoverishes our understanding of the American experiment in self-government.

Government attorneys have stated the Trump administration has the authority to institute a travel ban to protect the nation's security, and they have rejected criticism that restricting travelers only from majority-Muslim countries amounts to a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. The U.S. Constitution forbids the government from establishing an official religion or taking actions that promote or inhibit religion. Trump's order specified that refugees who were members of a religious minority in their country and facing persecution would still be eligible for admission to the U.S. This would apply to non-Muslims from the seven targeted countries. While campaigning for the presidency last year, Trump originally supported banning all Muslims worldwide from entering the U.S., but he later altered his plan to target countries with links to terrorism. Some material in this report came from Reuters.

In fact, a space restriction is specifically listed for this lounge — and more than a few others — on the Priority Pass website. The company also makes it clear in its Conditions of Use that it does not warrant or guarantee admission to Priority Pass lounges. Clearly the Priority Pass program has gotten more popular as additional financial institutions have added it to their credit card offerings, and the company is legally covered when too many people want to use a lounge at the same time. But it's extremely frustrating to have a membership and not be able to use it. If this is becoming a growing problem, it could eventually reduce the value of a Priority Pass membership. We've reached out to Priority Pass to ask for comment and whether they have any data on how many lounges have turned members away in recent months. But we also want to hear directly from our readers about their experiences.

Security procedures for the review of members, their guests and the clubs employees, however, have not been revealed. That night there were dozens of club members on hand sitting mere feet away from the president. Many sat with guests, who did not pay the annual $200,000 membership fee. There was also a wedding party in one of the clubs banquet halls, which the president popped into and gave an impromptu speech. (The grooms father was a donor to the presidents campaign.) If it is just a high price of admission and anybody can come in its important for us to know who those people are, Clark told The Huffington Post. They have unusual proximity to our president and they apparently under this president are going to have close proximity to high security information and potentially classified information.

Bilderberg’s anonymous press department issues one sketchy annual press release and produces zero video footage of its speeches and proceedings. But with 90 speakers and 4,000 attendees from 130 countries, the Dubai summit, much like the WEF, is a larger and basically open forum that’s broadcast worldwide via summit organizersYou Tube channel and official website. Still, it’s hard to get past the Dubai summit’s name, which is yet another admission from the smug one-worlders who tend to run things that “world government”—long portrayed as a fantasy entertained by those unstable souls who inhabit the “conspiracy theoryrealm—is for real, although there’s ongoing debate as to whether a world government has been fully consummated. Some believe a world government would be, overall, beneficial to air, water, soil and humanity. But others, such as most people in alternative media and a growing number of citizens, believe that a world super-state brings with it the aphrodisiac of too much money, power and control, and so the only way to prevent the abuses of a world super-state is to never allow such a state to come to full fruition, especially under a financial system rigged to benefit the plutocratic few—a tsunami of money and credit for the top tier and a money drought for the restcaused by inherent defects in an overly centralized monetary system that needs to be changed into a more democratic model.

The death led to riots in London and other major cities, and the police chief said the use of cameras would aid investigations into police shootings. However, the fatal shooting of Yassar Yaqub by West Yorkshire Police marksmen during a car chase last month was not caught on camera despite a force-wide rollout of the devices. "We hope the Independent Police Complaints Commission will interrogate why body cameras were not used ... particularly as the operation, by the force's own admission, was 'pre-planned'," said Just Yorkshire, a rights group. Home Office guidelines state that "the decision to record or not to record any incident remains with the user", adding only that "failing to record an incident is likely to require explanation in court". Hogan-Howe said the trial of the monitoring equipment in London revealed that "people are more likely to plead guilty when they know we have captured the incident on a camera .

President Donald Trump is known for his harsh rhetoric on immigration. But on Thursday, he spoke in unusually personal terms as he answered a question at a White House press conference about hundreds of thousands of young immigrants whose fate rests in his hands. Were going to show great heart. DACA is a very, very difficult subject for me, I will tell you. To me, its one of the most difficult subjects I have, said the president in a rare admission of uncertainly....

Trudeau’s reaction to the annexation was to describe Vladimir Putin as a “bullywhom he would “confront” and to impose economic sanctions on Russia . Much of the international community regards the Crimean referendum as invalid, primarily because it was held while Russian troops occupied Crimea. But in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, there has been no referendum at all in which occupied Palestinians have voted to live under Israeli rule. Indeed, if such a vote were held today, it is virtually certain that Palestinians would vote overwhelmingly for independence from Israel, notwithstanding the presence of Israeli troops on occupied Palestinian territory. Yet the Trudeau government regards Putin as a ‘bully” whose country deserves to be sanctioned, while it considers Israel’s government, which by Canada’s own admission has illegally annexed East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, as Canada’s “best friend and ally” whose “flagrant violation under international law” is merelyunhelpful.
