Helene Paragon bulldogged his way to back-to-back Group Ones as he led home a John Moore tierce but the big-race trainer was refusing to accept runner-up Able Friend had lost his edge. A brilliant tactical ride by Tommy Berry helped Helene Paragon win the Group One Queens Silver Jubilee Cup but had Able Friend been at his best there is little doubt the former Horse of the Year would have blown this field away. Still, Moore was adamant Able Friend who spent much of...

Kushner played a key role in encouraging the president to speak out on the matter, according to a person briefed on the discussions. Looking to have a presence at the RJC, the White House dispatched Epshteyn, a Russian-born Jewish immigrant, to Las Vegas for this weekend’s gathering. At Friday’s board meeting, he was asked how the party could refute accusations that the administration was stirring anti-Jewish views. Epshteyn delivered a detailed answer that included offering an assurance to the group that Bannon is not anti-Semitic, according to two people present. The website that Bannon oversaw before joining the White House, Breitbart News, has been accused of publishing anti-Semitic content. Many attendees agreed that, to the contrary, Bannon has made clear he’s a staunch ally of the Jewish community. The overtures won some over. Whatever conversations I've had with people in the White House have been more than satisfactory in terms of the issues I've been concerned about, said Mort Klein, a friend of Adelson and president of the Zionist Organization of America.

Terry McAuliffe, a longtime close Clinton friend. She’s bright and she’s engaged and she’s got things to say on issues and I think it’s great having her voice out there.” She’s attended two protests in New York City since the election: a rally protesting Trump’s immigration ban, and a Muslim solidarity rally last week—again only letting her team know she was going when she tweeted pictures and called them from the event, according to aides. Other Clinton insiders, however, interpreted her move more cynically as an attempt to remain relevant—part of the family DNA that makes the Clintons unable to ever leave the stage completely. She now also often retweets or interacts with journalists online — the very members of the fourth estate she has ignored, looked through, and for the most part declined to speak with through her mother’s two presidential bids.

A VIDEO has emerged of one of the suspects in Kim Jong-Nam's murder celebrating her birthday just a day before the killing. In the short clip, the Indonesian suspect, Siti Aisyah, is seen with another friend whom she calls "Kak Lin". Kak Lin's face has been blurred in the video. Siti Aisyah, wearing a red blouse and makeup, appears happy in the video as she laughs with her friend. "We haven't seen each other in a long time," Siti Aisyah says, before Kak Lin reveals that they have not met in five months and have been friends for six years. The women reminisce their friendship as they recall that they have been friends since Kak Lin was single. "Now, Kak Lin is pregnant," Siti Aisyah says as she rubs her friend's belly. At this point, Kak Lin says "Orang sebelah pun dah jadi artis." (The person next to me is now an artiste) Laughing, Siti Aisyah asks "What artiste?" and Kak Lin replies with the name of a popular local actress.

Take for example the newly facelifted Peugeot 2008 , which has recently joined our fleet. Ad campaigns for the car featured the likes of free divers, parkour runners and desert journeys. I’m not quite as extreme as that, but to find out whether Peugeot ’s crossover works as a runaround for weekend warriors in addition to delivering everyday usability, I’ve taken our 2008 on a few adventures of my own. This, you may think, is very much the way the other half lives, but its key virtue is that it allows well-heeled people to drive, and frequently change, Ferraris, without ever buying them outright. DECISION TIME For most people, money is portrayed as the major hurdle to Ferrari ownership, but that’s less true than at any time in living memory. Fit-looking Ferraris start in the £30,000s in the PistonHeads classifieds – and plenty of people drive Fords and Peugeots costing more. Approved Ferraris can be financed from £60k70k in bitesized chunks. Sure, the numbers sound big, and most people have other priorities, but the opportunity is nevertheless available to many more than take it. The true hurdle, often, is taking the decision. Thirty years ago I had the money to buy a Ferrari, and considered it for a long time. In the end I decided to buy something more practical until a friend pointed out, quite forcibly, the size of the opportunity I was ditching.
