#Deflategate has a new clothing line. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is known for a lot of things: his killer throwing arm, his four Super Bowl wins and, of course, deflategate . But, after last night's AFC championship game, Brady is now known as the internet's favorite meme thanks to his bench-sitting fashion statement. SEE ALSO: Donald Trump won't let go of his supposed Tom Brady bromance Image: NFL Sure, his ridiculous coat is only to ensure that his precious body stays warm during the cold game, but that doesn't make it look any less dumb. And the internet gladly took the bait. Read more... More about Patriots , Nfl , Tom Brady , and Watercooler

Welcome to a new era. When Donald Trump was sworn in as President on Friday, the crowd at his inauguration was far smaller than that which attended Barack Obama's in 2009. Not that Trump would agree: his press secretary offered more impressive — or falsestatistics, described by Trump assistant Kellyanne Conway as "alternative facts". Cue the Twitter meme #alternativefacts, with a virtuoso performance by Courtney Love.

Dippin' Dots, the alleged "ice-cream of the future," has a high-profile enemy in the new U.S. administration. That would be Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer. You may remember him from his press conference on Saturday complaining about the media coverage on crowd numbers at the inauguration. SEE ALSO: That didn't take long: Trump's press secretary is already a meme But as some internet sleuths have discovered, Spicer has a long-held vendetta against Dippin' Dots those little balls of ice-cream that accompany trips to malls or at a theme park as per his Twitter account. "Dippin dots is NOT the ice cream of the future," Spicer wrote back in 2010. Read more... More about Watercooler , Ice Cream , Conversations , Twitter Reactions , and Twitter

We're one day into the Trump presidency and the memes are already flying. President Donald Trump's Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave a press conference Saturday in which he complained about the media's "false" reporting of crowd numbers at the inauguration. Although he admitted to not having any, you know, hard figures, he declared: "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration period both in person and around the globe." SEE ALSO: All the best protest signs from Women's Marches across America In so many ways, he was just plain wrong. Pictures from President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009 show many more people on the mall than on Saturday, and D.C.'s transport agency told the Washington Post that 570,557 people took trips Friday compared to 1.1 million trips in 2009. Shock rippled through a small Wisconsin suburb in 2014 when two 12-year-old girls stabbed a young friend. When their story and motivethey said they did it to please a fictive Internet bogeyman called Slender Man became known more widely, the rest of the world was horrified too. Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier confessed to luring their 12-year-old friend Payton Bella Leutner into the woods near Waukesha and leaving her to die from her 19 stab wounds, police said . The attack had been planned over the course of months. A new documentary, Beware the Slenderman , revisits the case with lengthy interrogation-room footage of the girls and unprecedented access to both their families. The film, which airs on HBO on Jan. 23, explores how an Internet meme helped turn two tweens into possible murderers. It was just immediately obvious that this was a horrifyingly real-life zeitgeist example of how we are adapting, Irene Taylor Brodsky, who directed the documentary, told TIME.

After President-elect Donald Trump shared a picture of himself writing his Inauguration speech , Trevor Noah took it upon himself to prepare viewers for what he jokingly dubbed as promotional photos for the TV series President . You have to get used to the fact that you've elected a reality show President, and you should know a publicity still when you see one, Noah said on Thursday's episode of The Daily Show . The host then showed a clip of Trump hitting the red carpet for The Apprentice mouthing his you're fired catchphrase for the cameras. We're only gonna see more photos of this throughout his term, he said before cycling through a series of Photoshopped portraits of extreme scenarios related to Trump's campaign promises. Here I am balancing the budget all on my own. Hey, here I am bringing jobs back from Mexico, he said in his best Trump caption voice.

While this is not the preferred solution to the problem, those pulling the strings may give the people of truth no other choice than to take their business elsewhere and migrate to more open systems. This would take time to do, but it should at least be in the back of people’s minds as further censorship comes down the pipeline, like net neutrality, Internet ID laws, and the further enhancement of the Big Brother state. Finally, one of the more effective ways to get the message of truth out, which is often overlooked, is the use of memes . While memes may seem innocent and petty, they can actually be quite powerful in slowly deprogramming the minds of people and opening them up to real truth. Some people have even referred to this practice as meme magic because of its effectiveness at providing simple, easy to read bits of information that are non-threatening for unawakened.

The Ryan Gosling of fictional clergymen would like to air some grievances. The Young Pope , primed for the meme spotlight since its inception, has now inspired a blessed series of tweets from @maddiesayswhat in which the Holy Father, who is not old, rails against the patriarchy. "There were some on my side who did not want to be seen helping the president do something he wanted to get done, just because the president wanted to do it," explained Sen. Patrick Toomey (R-PA), who was one of just four Republicans who voted for the compromise bill. But most of the context was left out of the gun vote coverage in 2013, as pundits and press rushed in to blame " Obama and his allies " for the actions of obstructionist Republicans. For the record, there were some lonely voices in the Beltway wilderness who specifically debunked the "both sides" meme and placed the gridlock responsibility squarely on the shoulders of activist Republicans. "We have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than 40 years, and never have we seen them this dysfunctional," scholars Thomas Mann and Norm Ornstein wrote in The Washington Post in 2012 in an essay adapted from their then-new book.

Ben Affleck clearly doesn't enjoy being turned into a meme. During a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 , the Batman v Superman star was asked what he learned from making the superhero blockbuster, prompting him to bring up Sad Affleck an edited viral video that circulated from a March interview in which Affleck sat silently while his co-star Henry Cavill answered a question about Dawn of Justice's negative reviews. It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I dont say anything and they can lay Simon & Garfunkel tracks over it, he said. Thats one thing I learned. Watch the full clip below.
